Snowsports Club
Beginners / False Skiers and Snowboarders
Y7 - 13
The Snowsports Club expands this year to include snowboarders as well as skiers. There are opportunities for all at prices you cannot match anywhere else. Therefore, a superb opportunity to learn a life skill in a new friendship group or with students you already know. The skill can be used for your Duke of Edinburgh Award, your PE GCSE, your UCAS application; or just for that next Snowsport trip, be it with your family, the school, or later in life at university or work. Choose your level and join for that term; if it's lessons you are after or if you can already ski or board then you can get a lift pass. If you're unsure email jthompson@rishworth-school.co.uk to ask for advice on what may be best for your child. A false beginner is someone who has skied/boarded in the past but maybe a while ago or only for a few days.
Future plans involve preparation for the school Snowsports trips, GCSE assessments and possibly more excitingly a school race team which will compete against other schools in the UK.
