Ifyouarenotgoingtoarriveatworkorreturnfromabreakontime,youmustnotifyyourDirector/Managerassoonaspossiblebutat least30minutesbeforeyourscheduledstarttime

TheRestaurantpaysforexpensesnecessarytoachieveavalidbusinesspurposewhenmeetingsareheldwithcustomers,vendors,or otherRestaurantteammembersThemostseniorRestaurantindividualpresentistopayforandreportallexpenses
TheRestaurantwillmakeeveryefforttohaveamasteraccountsetupforRestaurant-wideandlargegroupeventsHowever,ifyouareat asmallmeetingorstayingbyyourselfatahotel,payindividuallyandsubmitforreimbursementaccordingly

Chick-fil-AKueblerGatewayisrequiredbyapplicablefederal,state,andlocallawstokeepaccuraterecordsofhoursworkedbycertain teammembersToensurethattheRestauranthascompleteandaccuratetimerecordsandthatteammembersarepaidforallhours worked,nonexemptteammembersarerequiredtorecordallworkingtimeusingRestaurantPOSpeakwithyourDirector/Managerfor specificinstructions

WhenaRestaurantvehiclecannotbeoperated,isunsafeforuse,orhasbeendamaged,notifyyourDirector/Managerimmediately
AsthedriverofaRestaurantvehicle,youareresponsibleforthevehiclewhileinyourchargeandmustnotpermitunauthorizedpersons todriveitYouarealsoresponsibleforthedailyhousekeepingofthevehicle;itistoremaincleananduncluttered
Youmaynotoperateamotorvehiclewhileundertheinfluenceofalcoholorachemicalsubstanceorothersubstancethatcanimpair judgmentYoumaynotoperateamotorvehiclewhiletexting,emailing,orotherwiseusingacellphoneorotherhandhelddevicewithout utilizingahands-freedevice.

PaymentofPremiums
Alternatively,atouroption,theRestaurantmaypayyourshareofthepremiumsduringtheleaveandrecoverthecostsofthisinsurance uponyourreturntoworkCoveragethatlapsesduetononpaymentofpremiumswillbereinstatedimmediatelyuponreturntowork withoutawaitingperiodUndermostcircumstances,ifyoudonotreturntoworkattheendofleave,theRestaurantmayrequire reimbursementforthehealthinsurancepremiumspaidduringtheleave.

Retaliation
TheRestaurantwillnotretaliateagainstteammemberswhorequestortakeleaveinaccordancewiththispolicy.
7.5FederalJuryDutyLeave Chick-fil-AKueblerGatewayencouragesteammemberstofulfilltheircivicdutiesrelatedtofederaljurydutyserviceIfyouaresummoned forfederaljuryduty,notifyyourDirector/Managerassoonaspossibletomakeschedulingarrangements
Timespentforfederaljurydutyserviceisunpaid;however,ifyouareclassifiedasexempt,youwillnotincuranydeductioninpayfora partialweek'sabsenceduetojurydutyYoumayopttouse[PTO/vacation]inplaceofunpaidleave
TheRestaurantwillnotdiscriminateorretaliateagainstteammembersformissingworkduetofederaljuryserviceUponreturntowork, youwillbereinstatedtoyourpriorpositionwithoutlossofseniorityandwillbetreatedasifyouhavebeenonaleaveofabsenceor furlough

YourgrouphealthbenefitsarepaidinpartbytheRestaurantTheremainderofthecostsarepaidbyyouthroughdeductionsfromyour paycheck
BenefitsmaybecanceledorchangedatthediscretionoftheRestaurant,unlessotherwiseprohibitedbylaw

Workers'compensationisano-faultsystemdesignedtoprovidebenefitstoallteammembersforwork-relatedinjuriesWorkers' compensationinsurancecoverageispaidforbyemployersandgovernedbystatelawTheworkers'compensationsystemprovidesfor coverageofmedicaltreatmentandexpenses,occupationaldisabilityleave,andrehabilitationservices,aswellaspaymentforlostwages duetoworkrelatedinjuries.IfyouareinjuredonthejobwhileworkingatChick-fil-AKueblerGateway,nomatterhowslightly,youareto reporttheincidentimmediatelytoyourDirector/ManagerConsistentwithapplicablestatelaw,failuretoreportaninjurywithina reasonableperiodoftimecouldjeopardizeyourclaimforbenefits

TheRestaurantexpresslyprohibitsteammembersfromengaginginthefollowingactivitieswhentheyareondutyorconducting RestaurantbusinessoronRestaurantpremises(whetherornottheyareworking):
Theuse,abuse,orbeingundertheinfluenceofalcohol,illegaldrugs,orotherimpairingsubstances
Thepossession,sale,purchase,transfer,ortransitofanyillegalorunauthorizeddrug,includingprescriptionmedicationthatisnot prescribedtotheindividual,ordrug-relatedparaphernalia
Theillegaluseorabuseofprescriptiondrugs.
Whiletheuseofmarijuanahasbeenlegalizedundersomestatelawsformedicinaland/orrecreationaluses,itremainsanillegaldrug underfederallawTheRestaurantdoesnotdiscriminateagainstteammemberssolelyonthebasisoftheirlawfuloff-dutyuseof marijuanaYoumaynotconsumeorbeundertheinfluenceofmarijuanawhileondutyoratworkIfyouhaveavalidprescriptionfor medicalmarijuana,refertotheRestaurantDisabilityAccommodationpolicyforadditionalinformation

8.3WorkplaceTobaccoUsage Chick-fil-AKueblerGatewayisconcernedaboutthedetrimentaleffectsofsmokingandsecondhandsmokeinhalationThesmellof cigarettesisnotpleasingtomanyguestsaroundfoodand/ordrinkSmoking(includingtheuseofelectronicvapingproductssuchasecigarettes)isprohibitedonthepropertygrounds
8.4WorkplaceViolence Asthesafetyandsecurityofourteammembers,vendors,contractors,andthegeneralpublicisinthebestinterestsofChick-fil-AKuebler Gateway,wearecommittedtoworkingwithourteammemberstoprovideaworkenvironmentfreefromviolence,intimidation,andother disruptivebehavior

TheRestaurantprohibitsretaliationagainstteammemberswho,basedonareasonablebelief,provideinformationabout,complain,or assistintheinvestigationofanycomplaintofharassmentordiscrimination
WewillpromptlyandthoroughlyinvestigateanyclaimandtakeappropriateactionwherewefindaclaimhasmeritTotheextent possible,wewillretaintheconfidentialityofthosewhoreportsuspectedorallegedviolationsoftheharassmentpolicy

WageandHourPolicies AccommodationsforNursingMothers Chick-fil-AKueblerGatewaywillprovidenursingmothersreasonablerestperiodstoexpressmilkfortheirinfantchild,eachtimetheneed arises,forupto18monthsfollowingthechild'sbirth
TheRestaurantwillprovideaprivatelocation,otherthanarestroom,incloseproximitytoyourworkarea,toexpressmilkThelocation willbeshieldedfromviewandfreefromintrusionfromcoworkersandthepublic
ExpressedmilkmaybestoredintheTeamMemberbreakroomrefrigerator
Therestperiodsshould,iffeasible,runconcurrentlywithanyothermealandrestperiodsalreadyprovidedIfyouarenonexempt,clockin andout/recordthestartandendtimeforanytimetakenthatdoesnotrunconcurrentlywithnormallyscheduledrestperiods.Breaktime maybeunpaidwherepermissiblebyapplicablelawIfyouarenonexempt,theRestaurantmayallowyoutoworkbeforeorafteryour normalshifttomakeuptheamountoftimeusedfortheunpaidrestperiod(s)

MealandRestPeriods Chick-fil-AKueblerGatewaystrivestoprovideasafeandhealthyworkenvironmentandcomplieswithallfederalandstateregulations regardingmealandrestperiods
Ifyouarenonexempt,youwillbeprovidedunpaidmealperiodsandpaidrestperiodsasfollows,dependingonthelengthofyourwork period:

HometoWorkinanOrdinarySituation
Ifyoutravelfromhomebeforetheregularworkdayandreturntoyourhomeattheendoftheworkday,youareengagedinordinaryhome toworktravel,whichisanormalincidentofemployment,whetheryouworkatafixedlocationoratdifferentjobsitesNormaltravelfrom hometoworkisnotworktime
HometoWorkinanEmergencySituation
Ifyouleavethepremisesorjobsiteaftercompletingtheday'sworkandaresubsequentlycalledouttotravelasubstantialdistanceto performanemergencyjob,anytimespentinexcessoftimespentinnormalhome-to-worktravelwillbeconsideredworkingtimeCallbacksthatrequireonlynormalhome-to-worktraveltotheRestaurantplaceofbusinessorjobsitewillnotbeconsideredworkingtimeA "substantialdistance"meansadistancebeyonda30-mileradiusoftheRestaurantplaceofbusiness.

Thisleaveofabsenceisavailabletonon-temporaryemployeeswhohavebeenemployedbytheRestaurantforatleast90days
Youmustprovidenoticeofyourintenttotakeleaveasfollows:
Atleast30daysbeforearegularsession;and
Assoonaspossiblewhenitisapparentthataspecialoremergencysessionwillbecalled Attheconclusionoftheleaveofabsence,youmustapplytoberestoredtoemploymentwithinthefollowingtimeframes:

Restoration
Uponreturnfromleave,youwillberestoredtoyourformerpositionIfyourpositionhasbeeneliminated,youmaybereassignedtoan availableequivalentpositionIfanequivalentpositionisnotavailableatthejobsiteofyourformerposition,youwillbeofferedan equivalentpositionatajobsitewithin50milesofyourpreviousjobsite,providedsuchpositionisavailableIfequivalentpositionsare availableatmultiplejobsites,youwillfirstbeofferedthepositionthatistheclosesttoyourpreviousjobsiteRestorationisnot guaranteedifthepositionhasbeeneliminatedundercircumstanceswherethelawdoesnotrequirerestoration
