01 MEXICALI HOUSE

Mexicalli, Baja California. Private | Individual | 2021

Located in a residential zone in Mexicali, Baja California in the northern of Mexico with a location in the corner with two roads and a considerable amount of car circulations, adding the climate factor, makes this project and interesting challenge.

This house was designed for a young family waiting for a baby, with home office work and love for house parties, plants and small scale cultivation. Their lifestyle helped define the functional program and spatial needs.

The concept begins from the strategy for privacy and climate protection, defining key perspectives and facade orientations, as well as defining some volume criteria.

The intention in every moment of design was to do the house the most ecological possible, with natural materials, and impacting the lowest in nature and the surrounding.

The structure is composed of double faced walls of nature elements with a space in the middle with air with Argón, which contains and protects the rude temperatures, making it ecollogical and self intelligent. The resultant volume is an interesting and beautiful design wich allows and interior and exterior development.

The interior is a calm sequence of courtyards, filtered light and natural textures. Each opening is carefully oriented to control heat and privacy while preserving a deep connection to the desert environment.

02 SMART CITY

MƩxico, MƩxico.

Private entrepreneurship | Invidividual | 2022

Faced with Mexico City“s growing housing demand and the urgent need to rethink urban development, this visionary proposal aims to create a sustainable, high-impact, and profitable city model at the edge of CDMX into Toluca.

ā€œMagdalena Chichicaspaā€ represents a new visionary proposal of sustainable urban development in a 310 hectare masterplan that reimagines urban growth by integrating green space, technology and social well being. With over 5.4 million square meters of green areas, the plan emphasizes ecological balance and livability.

The design features 3 key features that area initially controlled acces points, and efficent modern road infrastructure, over 5.4 million square meters of green areas, fostering a high quality of life. Additionally, the project incorporates sustinable design principles, like a smart city, focusing on the recovery of contaminated water and ensuring the availabiilty of high-impact public spaces.

The masterplan proposes a very carefully planned urban layout that balances the vehicle connectivity and human-scale living, prioritizing public space, sustainability, and strategic urban organization.

With strategic investment and with the costs, the development offers up to 409% investment return up only to the completion of lotification, making it a high profitable and susteinable venture.

The Magdalena Chichicaspa project not only envisions a controlled organized urban growth but also demonstrates a strong commitment to susteinability and innovative architectural design.
