ADULT 18+ IM PROVISATIONAL THEATER WORKSHOP This series of acting workshops is focused on using improvisation as a way to explore fundamentals of theater while encouraging spontaneity, creativity, and teamwork. This approach is gentle, supportive, and fun; students will not be expected to deliver comedic lines or clever dialogue. Instead, the emphasis will be on creating honest and spontaneous moments within the exercises. No acting experience is required; both those new to acting and experienced players are welcome. During initial activities, participants will be led in exercises aimed at developing listening skills and techniques designed to create a supportive and friendly atmosphere within the group. We'll focus on our breathing techniques as we practice Yoga poses, developing the body as pranayama develops the mind. LIFETIM 60+ Lif et im eE60+ GENTLE YOGA These classes offer traditional yoga practices, including breathing exercises, movements and poses (postures), relaxation techniques, and meditation. This beginner level class is designed primarily for those over age 60, including individuals who may have some physical limitations or challenges. Careful attention is paid to warming up while sitting in chairs prior to standing and, eventually, sitting and lying on floor mats. Individuals are encouraged to move slowly and go at their own pace. Modifications to exercises are provided, as needed, to meet the unique needs of participants.
