Learn to Play: Intro to Dungeons & Dragons $230 Resident • $240 Non-Resident

Kids Test Kitchen $240 Resident • $250 Non-Resident

Become a hero and embark on a daring adventure in Dungeons & Dragons, the world’s oldest and best role playing game! Trouble is brewing in the small hamlet of Pellaford: a messenger carrying an important item has gone missing and strange mishaps have begun to plague the town. As heroes, you have been hired to find the courier and uncover the mystery surrounding the nearby wooded plateau called the Giant’s Table. Over the course of six sessions, we'll learn the rules of the game and play through the entire adventure as a team. Players will select from an assortment of pre-generated characters so we can jump right in and start playing. Designed for those who are new to D&D, though kids with past experience are also welcome.

Each class presents students with an opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, we’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until we’ve prepared the finished dish. During this session we’ll celebrate ingredients that will offer ideas for quick and healthy dishes for the family to enjoy together. At the end of class your aspiring chef will receive the main ingredient, or a sample of the finished dish, and the recipe. Each session arrives with fresh new recipes and ideas to inspire your healthy eater! We can work around allergies to make sure that everyone has fun and stays safe.

Youth Programs Right Brain Curriculum - Lego Adventures $225 Resident • $235 Non-Resident Are you a Lego master? If so, it’s time to show off your skills! Each week in Lego Adventures, there is a new challenge we must face: from skyscrapers to farms, bridges to airports, space stations to main streets, and everything in between! First, our Right Brain Curriculum instructors will review the history of what we are about to build: How the invention of the elevator revolutionized city skylines, how farms in the 1930s survived hordes of grasshoppers and the Dust Bowl, how aeroelasticity explains why the Tacoma bridge is nicknamed “Galloping Gertie” collapsed, etc. Then, it’s time to build! You will create a model of each type of structure out of an enormous assortment of provided Legos, and of course, we thoroughly photograph each creation before we move on to our next topic . In our final week, you will create a final project landmark to show visiting parents (along with photos of your previous creations). Learning and Legos: A perfect match!

Winter Basketball Leagues & Clinics The In-Town Basketball League is an organized recreational basketball program for kids currently enrolled in Middle School through High School. The Middle School Leagues are divided up by 5th/6th graders and 7th/8th graders. The High School League is a mix of 9th-12th graders. We will need volunteer coaches for all leagues. If you are available and interested, please be sure to check that section off in the Q&A's. All of our leagues will hold all participants,

volunteers, and spectators accountable to our code of conduct for the program. There will be a weekly 1 hour practice for each team during the week and a game on Saturday afternoons. Practice and game times will vary throughout the season and take place at either Clarke or Diamond Middle School. You will receive the specific dates and times of all scheduled practices and games for the league. You will receive the schedules by mid-November. There will be a formation night prior to the start of the official games. The formation night is when the teams will compete against each other to see how balanced they are. After the session, the coaches will discuss to see if any players can be moved around to try to have fair teams for the season. Formation night is scheduled for 11/14 (grades 5/6), 11/16 (grades 7/8), 11/21 (HS).

Adult Programs Forever Fit with Judy Whitney

This program is funded by a generous grant from the Dana Home Foundation. On a scale of 1-10, how fit are you? Many times, we blame difficulty bending, walking upstairs, carrying groceries, weight gain, overall fatigue and slowing down as "getting old" rather than being "out of shape." Just as being “out of shape” can happen at any age, getting back “in shape’ can happen at any age too! Whether your goal is to develop strength, build endurance, improve balance, increase flexibility and agility, reduce stress, we can help you. We use modifications and rely on many fitness disciplines to empower each person to succeed. There are three components to this program: individual assessments, group instruction and working one -to-one with an expert Personal Trainer, skilled in determining the best way to achieve mutually agreed upon goals. Over the past seven years, the Dana Home Foundation has generously offered this program to empower their senior citizens to learn how to become stronger, healthier and more physically fit. This grant has been renewed again due to the recent successes of its participants. We urge you to seriously consider accepting this gift of wellness to empower you to be Forever Fit! Classes are Monday and Wednesday at 2:05 pm. One to one sessions will be by appointment only. Register to attend an info meeting with Judy Whitney on September 12 at 2:15 pm. Forever Fit Class Registration will open after the meeting. Age Day Date Time For more information please email Judy Whitney: judithawhitney@gmail.com 60+
