A

RTWAVE continues to be one of the most vibrant visual arts festivals in the

East Sussex calendar. For two weeks from 22 August over 100 artists’ homes,

gardens, galleries, studios and other great venues open their doors to the public. This year we have put together six new art trails; including four rural and two town trails, aimed to help you discover different parts of our great district. Also new for this year is our refreshed brochure design and website, with easier to use maps and improved layout to showcase the range of art available.

See the Artwave workshops and events taking place (page 30), with many of them free of charge; from open air life drawing to button making, there is something for everyone.

Keep an eye on our website for updates on events, information on artists and other features and for the tweeters among you, make sure to join the conversation #artwave2015.

An exciting addition this year is our Artwave Favourite Awards sponsored by Viva Lewes, the Chair of Lewes District Council and Lewes District Business Awards. Be sure to vote, either on the website or on the tear off in this brochure (page 29).

Now in our 22nd year, we are proud to have attracted over 300 different artists and makers to be part of Artwave, with 2015 being our busiest year to date.
