The Levitt Shell in Sioux Falls is part of a national network of outdoor Levitt music venues and Levitt AMP concert sites dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of communities in America through free, live music in public spaces. Presenting high-caliber talent and a broad array of music genres and cultural programming, Levitt venues are welcoming, inclusive destinations where families, friends, and neighbors of all ages and backgrounds come together. Catch the Kunama Cultural Festival, where the local Siyaba and Nimena bands will join international artist Dehab Faytinga on the Levitt stage. Presented in partnership with the local non-profit Kobabala Farda Kunamasi, the Kunama Community Festival will be a chance to experience the vibrant culture of this community from Eritrea and Ethiopia by experiencing their traditions through dance, fashion, music, and more.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Levitt. In the afternoon, enjoy festive music from local favorites and a free lunch provided by the City of Sioux Falls. Then return to the Levitt in the evening to enjoy a rock concert with KORY and the FIREFLIES.

Starr Chief Eagle is an enrolled member of the Sicangu (Rosebud) Lakota Sioux Tribe. She was born with the Lakota name Wichahpi Tokahe (First Star) and was later given the Lakota name Wichahpi Ohitika Winyan (Brave Star Woman). She grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and started hoop dancing before she could walk. Since then, she has been perfecting her techniques and skills.
