Drugs worth more than R100 000 were confiscated in Northampolicingarea during an integrated intelligence driven operation that was conducted on Friday Police say they received valuable information about two suspects who were allegedly dealing in drugs in Northam and the information was operationalised by the Waterberg District Flying Squad Team, Modimolle and LephalaleDogUnits(K9) The two suspects were subsequently located at separate residences A 27 year-oldmalewasnabbedfor being in possession of 1053 sachets of nyaope drugs with an estimated street value of R52650andR22000incash His accomplice aged 38, was also found in possession of
633 sachets of Rock drugs valuedatR94.950.Duringthe snap operation police managed to confiscate the drugs totaling R147 600 and further investigations will be conducted to locate the main suppliers or distributors of the drugs. Three men appeared in court for murder
Three men appeared before Lephalale Magistrate Court todayfacingacaseofmurder Kgothatso Derrick Sebina (26), Mosimanegape Piet Selomo(27) and Johannes Linton Burger(45) are accused of killing a man they accusedofillegallyhuntingin a farm on Wednesday (22 March 2023) evening in Steenbokpan. The three reportedly followed information regarding illegal hunting in Vangpan,
Steenbokpan and they traced apersonsuspectedofillegally hunting, whom they found in Leseding area. The trio allegedly took him to a field where they assaulted him before loading him into a bakkie Policewerecalledand upon arrival at the farm they found the man dead in a vehicle, which had driven over a fence. The trio's murder case was postponed to 30 March 2023 for bail application
