Foreword: The Cape Town & Winelands International Film Festival (CTWIFF) is proud to welcome "The Class of" category to the CTWIFF 2013, to form part of its annual festivities. From where it all started with a 11pm Facebook conversation to where we are today, we wish to welcome you to the "Class of 2013" screenings; showcasing over 30 graduate films from across South Africa. The aim of "The Class of..." category is to provide each and every graduating film student, from various film schools, the opportunity to showcase their work to a local and international audience. Furthermore we aim to help each and every participating film graduate to be recognised and hopefully gain entry into the fast growing South African film industry. The CTWIFF would like to congratulate every student for making it this far and want to wish them well with their career ahead. Furthermore we would like to thank all the lecturers and admin staff from AFDA, Big Fish, City Varsity, CPUT, UCT, TUT and WITS for the work they have done to help shape the future of our film industry through these students, but also the commitment and support they have shown throughout the planning and implementation of the inaugural "The Class of 2013" event. CTWIFF would also like to thank Movie Mart and Media Film Service for their generous sponsorship to "The Class of 2013" event. Their commitment to help shape the future of the students and the South African film industry is appreciated. Even though the Open Day has been moved to the 8th of March 2014, we would like to thank the Dti for their support and efforts to promote South African film institutions to the general public, and their generous support for the film industry in general. Lastly but not the least, we would like to thank every audience member here for supporting our young filmmakers, because without an audience there is no film industry . Enjoy!
