February is the month of love and what better way to show love than to feature our first event we hosted for our ambassadors. All of whom we love (and missed the ones that weren't able to join us).

The wonderful food was provided by Beet Box and everyone had a great time mingling and getting to know each other.

In this issue there is a video from our amazing time at the SOKY Bridal Expo that we attended. It was our first time and honestly don't know how we are going to top what we had next year. But we will! Video was done by Fore Runner.

We also have a great article about skin care and introduce you to our new line we now carry.

As we end this month be sure to show yourself and your face some extra love!

BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER AND THE HANDS OF THE BOTOX INJECTOR

Skincare. One of the fastest growing yet overwheling industries today. But it doesn't have to be complicated. It doesn't have to be 749 products or a high dollar investment.

I can vividly remember telling my sister (at age 30) 'yeah, I'm not fancy enough nor ready for eye cream'. As if. Jokes on me, I didn't need to be either to need eye cream or skin care for that matter.

Skincare is like brushing your teeth.

You do it for prevention and care not just for cosmetic reasons. I hope. But whether you're just getting started with the notion of skincare or you're a Kardashian level skincare connoisseur, I'll share some tips and tricks I've learned over the years while working in the industry.

1.Not all products are created equal ... in most cases, you get what you pay for.

When it comes to treatments or addressing skin concerns don't skip or waste time and money.

2. Use a regimen approach. You wouldn't bake a cake with only flour and the same goes for your skin care. Cleaner, toner, active step (depending on your concern) and moisturizer - they each come with their own added benefit and many times work together to give you the glow you're looking for.

3. Get to know your ingredients and what they do for your skin. It can be overwhelming, the amount of marketing we take in daily so knowing what you're looking for makes you that much wiser of a consumer. Vitamin C, retinol, PRP, dermaplaning ... google it and be your own advocate for your skin.

4. Don't make it complicated. My dermatologist friend told me years ago to take a 'happy meal' approach. Everything you need in the above 4 easy steps (with SPF for dear sake). From there you can add in serums, treatments, tools, etc. But keep it simple and most of all CONSISTENT

5. Consistency. You wouldn't brush your teeth just for special occasions only, so carry that idea over to skincare too. You'd be amazed what consistent use of quality products can do for your skin.

6. SPF is your BFF. Trust me. I'm from the era of tanning beds, actually worked at one and may or may not have qualified for the 'most tan human' award in the late 90's.

And it showed. SPF is a must (year round) not only for cosmetic reasons but skin cancer is a real and scary thing (for all ages). Many skin concerns (aging, discoloration and more) can be avoided simply by wearing SPF. That's about all I have, though I could go on and on. Skincare doesn't have to be tricky or complicated. It doesn't have to be a chore but what I can say is it's one small thing that can help you look and feel your best and you can't put a price tag on that.

And remember, taking care of your skin is more important than covering it up. Enjoy your skincare and enjoy the skin you're in.
