WE ARE AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY

EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION

Cheam Fields is located in pleasant surroundings to the north of Cheam Village. Children receive a wellrounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.

The school also benefits enormously from a heated, indoor swimming pool with excellent changing rooms.

We aim to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils. We provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, and art clubs.

We also offer a variety of support services for parents, including parenting workshops, home-school liaison and access to a family support worker.

“Pupils are courteous and behave well towards each other. They achieve highly, and demonstrate positive attitudes and enthusiasm for learning”.

PERSONALISED LEARNING

Our aim is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and respected. We recognise that every child is unique and has their own learning style and needs. The individualised attention and support we provide ensures that each child has the resources they need to reach their full potential.

“The school’s curriculum has consistent and well-embedded opportunities built into learning sequences. These ensure pupils are constantly retrieving previous knowledge, skills and vocabulary The beginnings of lessons develop pupils’ fluency in recalling key concepts. They then readily apply their knowledge to challenging contexts. Pupils are able to articulately explain the connections that prior learning has to new content.’

OPPORTUNITIES

At Cheam Fields, children discover their passions and develop their talents in a supportive environment.

Our wide range of opportunities include weekly music lessons, children attending or participating in sporting events, all year groups attending curriculum trips throughout the year, regular visits to our onsite Forest School and regular residential trips.

Regular residential trips foster the development of strong connections among pupils and staff. These opportunities enable teachers to establish a more profound understanding of their pupils' personalities and learning styles.

Cheam Fields Primary Academy is a proud member of the LEO Academy Trust, and as such, all of our pupils participate in the Trust's 1:1 Chromebook Programme. Equipped with their own devices, pupils are able to engage more deeply in their learning and independently select the resources they need to enhance their education.

Staff and pupils regularly collaborate with other schools in LEO Academy Trust, participating in joint events such as sporting competitions and arts festivals. These events provide the opportunity for children to learn from each other and for staff to share best practices.
