During my time working at Lascal Landscape Consulting Ltd, from 2020 to 2025, I have been involved in a wide range of landscape projects, from private gardens to residential parks and urban public parks. Each project embodies a unique spirit and design style including Mediterranean, Japanese, classical European, and resortinspired themes, tailored to specific contexts and client needs. In addition, I have participated in the architectural façade design of several projects. My role spans from the conceptual stage to basic design development, and includes author supervision during construction. This process has allowed me to strengthen my design capabilities while gaining valuable hands-on experience in construction coordination, as well as deeper insights into materials, lighting, and interdisciplinary technical collaboration.

Inspired by the natural wonder of Aurora Borealis, the park takes shape as a colorful "silken ribbon" flowing through the industrial landscape.
The landscape expresses the rhythm of nature through terrain, lines, and colors, reflecting the spirit of ZEN – harmony between humans and the universe. It offers a tranquil, green environment that supports relaxation, connection, and balance between work and life.

The park consists of several smaller themed areas, each inspired by a unique Japanese story.
These spaces are designed to instill values such as courage, gratitude, humility, and honesty in children, through engaging physical activities. In addition to enhancing green spaces within the residential area, the park fosters stronger connections among young families, providing a nurturing environment for both recreation and community bonding.

The clubhouse area includes a swimming pool with water play features, a basketball court, and an outdoor fitness zone. Approximately 70% of the façade and ground surfaces are covered with greenery, creating a refreshing, nature-infused atmosphere that promotes relaxation, physical activity, and community interaction.

The Pocket Park includes five small themed parks, each inspired by a traditional Japanese folk tale. Each park features physical activity games combined with interactive sculptures that reflect the story's characters and values. Through play, children are encouraged to explore, learn moral lessons, and engage their imagination in a fun and meaningful way.

As the green heart of the residential area, this central park includes a children’s playground, multi-sport courts, and a spacious plaza with a colorful splash fountain. It also serves as a vibrant event space where moments of joy, connection, and community spirit come to life.

As a model residential development in the heart of a growing satellite town, Cat Tuong Edutown is envisioned as a sustainable living environment where community values and early childhood education take center stage.
The landscape design is inspired by the philosophy of “green – connected – nurturing”, where green spaces are not merely decorative but act as immersive environments for learning and exploration. Meandering walkways weave through educational parks, interactive playgrounds, and experimental gardens, encouraging children to engage with nature, learn through play, and grow in a safe and creatively designed setting.

A space that nurtures imagination and ignites a child’s curiosity for the universe.
Inspired by the mysterious beauty of outer space and the dream of exploring the stars, Space Park is designed as a colorful journey of discovery. Each zone is a stop along the way, where children can play, learn, and awaken their scientific curiosity through creative and engaging interactive experiences.

The pocket park is envisioned as an Interactive Art Space where youth and children can explore, create, and connect through art. At its center lies the Creative Plaza for exhibitions, painting, and craft workshops. Colorful glass panels act as light sculptures, casting shifting hues throughout the day. Interactive sound speakers scattered across the park spark curiosity and invite playful, multi-sensory experiences.

This pocket park is an educational play space for children within the residential unit, inspired by the theme “Thinking – Community Connection.”
The outdoor reading area beneath shady trees offers a natural learning environment that nurtures reading habits and concentration. The oversized chessboard encourages logical thinking and interactive play with friends and family. The musical play zone features outdoor instruments that inspire creativity, rhythm, and teamwork through engaging sound exploration. Soft, winding pathways connect the spaces, intertwined with greenery and open lawns, creating an inviting setting for social interaction and shared experiences.

Inspired by the vibrant Orchard district of Singapore, this residential area is envisioned as a modern green urban hub full of life and energy. Tree-lined streets offer a shaded, walkable environment that brings people closer to nature. Bustling shophouses activate the streetscape with retail, dining, and community experiences. A Botanic Garden-style park invites children to play, learn, and explore in a refreshing natural setting. Urban living and greenery come together here in a harmonious, sustainable way.

The mini Botanic Garden park is a multifunctional green space, designed as a garden for learning and relaxation within the community. The children's playground with interactive equipment provides opportunities for exploration and physical activity. The artistic water fountain serves as a visual focal point, creating gentle sounds and a soothing atmosphere throughout the space.

Its façade features a neoclassical design, bringing a sense of elegance and harmony to the surrounding landscape. The interior is flexibly organized to serve various needs such as essential shopping, enjoying local cuisine, and showcasing or selling fresh agricultural products from the community. An outdoor F&B area is thoughtfully arranged near green spaces, offering a relaxed and nature-friendly dining experience. This is a vibrant hub that connects residents, visitors, and local farmers, while also serving as a visual highlight along the main street.

The landscape of the apartment complex is envisioned as the growth journey of a bamboo tree – beginning from firm ground where physical strength is nurtured through diverse exercise and activity zones. From these roots, life sprouts in vibrant play areas where joy and emotional well-being are cultivated. Shaded shelters and community courtyards act as protective leaves, shielding residents from harsh weather while fostering care and safety. Like bamboo that grows tall yet remains flexible, the landscape connects people across generations through spaces for interaction and creativity. And just as the bamboo rises toward the sky, residents grow, step by step, into society – equipped with the heart, mind, and strength nurtured by this holistic environment.

The development of a community mirrors “the growth of a tree” starting with a seed of ideas, nurtured by shared values, growing strong through collaboration, and maturing into a thriving, interconnected place where individuals flourish.
