Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort has been operating since 1987. Currently, managed by Marriott International. The hotel is dedicated to continuously promoting sustainability in the environment, society, and economy. All executives and employees are committed to following this sustainability policies. The hotel considers environmental sustainability as the duty and responsibility of everyone in the organization, from owners and executives to employees at all levels. Everyone must cooperate in implementing the measures set forth, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, to achieve sustainability and continuous development.
Environmental
1. Implement and Promote environmental sustainability by prioritizing energy management, enhancing the e ciency of tools and equipment to lower energy consumption, continuously reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and achieving a 3% reduction in energy usage compared to the previous year.
2. Promote and support the use of renewable energy to reduce the environmental impact of the hotel's operations.
3. Control and prevent pollution resulting from the hotel's work activities and operations.
4. Continuously reduce water usage by 2% compared to the previous year, including using water e ciently and e ectively in business operations.
5. Closely monitor wastewater quality that may a ect natural water sources
6. E ciently manage waste segregation and reduce all type of waste continuously at least 5% compared to previous year as to raise awareness of environmental responsibility
7. Encourage the procurement of environmentally and community-friendly products for sustainability.
8. Do not support products or activities that are part of any form of animal welfare.
9. Protecting and supporting biodiversity by reducing pollution, protecting nature and wildlife.
Social
1. Promote and support products from nearby communities as a priority.
2. Promote and support local art and culture, making it known to guest, employees, and interns, allowing them to learn and experience local art and culture.
3. Support equality for employees in all dimensions, such as gender, age, religion, etc., ensuring that they receive fair treatment, access to important information, and benefits according to hotel regulations and Marriott International policies. This includes interns, tourists, business partners, and stakeholders in the business operations.
4. Ensure fair employment practices according to the law, focusing on hiring individuals from Phuket and nearby provinces.
5. Support safety and occupational health policies for employees, guest, business partners, and stakeholders in accordance with legal requirements.
6. Promote awareness and support activities for employees to understand the importance of e cient resource use and preventing environmental impacts from business activities.
7. Have plans in place to manage risks in case of emergencies, such as fires, floods, storms, epidemics, etc., to alleviate the impact on employees and all stakeholders, according to Marriott International policies and legal requirements.
8. Communicate sustainability policies to all employees at every level to ensure implementation and disclose these policies to stakeholders, external agencies, and the public for awareness and compliance.
9. Organize community and social sustainability activities in all areas where Marriott International hotels operate.
10. Protecting and respecting human rights by preventing discrimination, exploitation, harassment and promoting fair treatment.
11. Safeguarding children by preventing the exploitation or abuse of children and reporting any suspected incidents.
12. Protecting, respecting and supporting the local community and the local people.

1. Implement energy-saving and water-saving measures to reduce the hotel's operating costs.
2. Actively combat corruption and fraud in accordance with Marriott International's policies.

Based on the above policies, the hotel will review and improve various work plans related to the environment, society, and economy annually to enhance the e ectiveness of the sustainability management system. This includes allocating budgets, personnel, and time to ensure continuous sustainability management.
