On September 5, 2008, Hill & Smith PLC announced an exciting development in their strategy for expansion of their HS Roads and Security operations into the US market. In a world where everything is connected, work zones are no exception. Ver-Mac’s Connected Work Zone Notification System makes work zones safer for workers and motorists by automatically communicating key information to Departments of Transportation (DOTs), motorists and other relevant parties in real time. Increasing awareness by informing drivers of road work locations, work zone speed limits, lane merges and more, prepares motorists to drive safely through the work zone.
