EDITORIAL Wow, the impact of an Editorial!!! So many people responded to the article about Jean & Brian Wright; line dancing at Leicester Railwaymens Club. People have been ringing me and coming up to me in a couple of clubs, saying we were there at the party, and what nice people they are and how good they are at teaching the line dancing every Wednesday at ‘the Railway’. As you’ll see, ‘the Railway’ boxing season starts on March 5th (see advert) Another couple of special events taking place soon are the 90s Dance Party night this month and the Soul Night next month at Sileby Liberal & W.M.C.; again. see the adverts in this issue.

With Easter not too far away I know clubs will be gearing up for hopefully a bumper

weekend of class entertainment. I do know I keep banging on about supporting our clubs: believe me, most clubs need it!

Even sports within the clubs are dying; snooker, pool, darts, skittles etc. I’m sure there are club-goers out there that could contribute towards a team on other than a weekend night? Why don’t you and some friends get together for a social night out, meeting others in other clubs playing the various sports? Ask your Sports Secretary in your club for more information, or contact me and I’ll help to get you started. All it takes is a phone call and a few friends to make a good night out - meeting similar-minded people too!

I see that Big Ray has a great Irish weekend coming up at the Crows Nest it’s the place to have ‘the craic’ with a full week of dancers, singers and bands, plus great Irish food as well. See the advert in this issue.
