Los niveles de desempeño son una descripción cualitativa de las habilidades y conocimientos que se estima ha desarrollado el evaluado, y tienen el objetivo de complementar el puntaje numérico obtenido.

La prueba de Inglés está alineada con el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas (MCER), los evaluados se clasifican en 4 niveles de desempeño: Pre A1, A1, A2 y B1. Esto, teniendo en cuenta que para Colombia existe población que se encuentra por debajo del primer nivel del MCER (A1), lo cual ha llevado a incluir en este módulo un nivel inferior a A1, denominado Pre A1.

Estos niveles tienen tres características principales: » son particulares, es decir, están definidos para cada prueba; » son jerárquicos, pues tienen una complejidad creciente, cuyo nivel de mayor complejidad es el B1; » son inclusivos, puesto que, para estar ubicado en un nivel, se requiere haber superado los inferiores.

Analyze the persuasive strategies in TV commercials. For each ad, answer the following questions in full sentences: Purpose: What is this advertisement trying to persuade you to do? Be specific.

Audience: What group of people is this advertisement trying to persuade? How do you know?

Reasoning and Evidence: What reasons or facts does the advertisement give for why you should buy their product or do what they want you to do? (“You should buy this product because…” OR “If you buy this product, then you will…”)

Relevance of Evidence: Is everything in the commercial relevant—in other words, do the images, ideas, and people all relate to the product? Or does the advertisement try to persuade you with any irrelevant evidence— statements, images, or facts that have nothing to do with the product or idea being sold? Explain.

Soundness of Reasoning: Is the reasoning in the advertisement sound? In other words, do the reasons given actually make sense? Explain.
