Finbin shelters have a long tradition, The shelters are designed and manufactured for longterm use, and we have a wide range of shelters for different uses.

The timeless and durable Finbin shelters are ideal for public environments, commercial properties, schools, residential areas, etc. The different size options, shapes and the wide range of colors offer almost limitless possibilities for furnishing the environment.

The Finbin shelters represent Finnish design, where functionality meets practicality. The basis of the user-oriented design is to provide durable and safe products. A long life service has been sought in the design of the product and in the choice of the materials, and recyclable materials are used in the manufacture.

In addition to the standard product range, we also offer our customers customized solutions. The customized solution can be a standard product adapted with certain colors to match the surroundings or architecture, or a completely new product that is specifically designed for a project and manufactured according to the customer’s requirements.

OUR SHELTERS ARE CE-MARKED

The durability of the supporting structures and the quality of the manufacturing are very important factors in the shelter solutions. When purchasing a bicycle shelter, a bus stop shelter or any other shelter type, it is good to note that the supplier of steel or aluminum shelters must demonstrate the requirement for conformity assessment for structural components in accordance with the EN1090-1 construction product standard.

The CE-marking in accordance with the EU Construction Products Regulation became mandatory for supporting steel structures on the 1 July 2014, which also applies to the supporting structures of the shelters. The CE marking indicates that the features of the manufactured product have been defined and verified in a consistent manner. The Finbin shelters are manufactured in accordance with the required EN 1090-1 construction product standard. As a proof of this, Finbin has been

granted a certificate of conformity for the internal quality control of the inspection company Dekra and the right to the CE marking of the shelters .

It all started with a small metal workshop in Eastern Finland in 1945. The driving force was the desire to make new types of furniture - durable, easy to use and beautiful - outside, for everyone to use.

In 1990, Finbin City® was born, making the Finbin® brand an internationally renowned brand. The success of City® began from a big design competition organized by the City of Helsinki, which was won by designer Hannu Kähönen and his team. The aim of the competition was to create a litter bin that can be emptied as easily, efficiently and safely as possible.

The design of City®, based on detailed studies and testing, successfully applied the principle of Scandinavian design, which can be summarized in the phrase “Form follows function”.

In the early 2000s, we realized that new technology could not only help our customers, but also significantly reduce the carbon footprint of waste disposal. In 2017, Finbin CitySolar® was launched, the most efficient solar-powered waste compactor on the market that has already conquered the major cities in the Nordic countries.

Vario is a flexible choice as a shelter for bicycle parking. The shelter can be equipped with different types of racks, 1- or 2-sided, and the width of the shelter section can be selected accordingly. Vario shelters can be equipped with a bench, litter bin and an ashtray. Long shelter assemblies can be built with shelter modules.

VARIO-T - break shelter

Vario T is suitable for a break shelter and for smoking areas. The walls are tempered glass. The shelter can be equipped with a bench, litter bin and ashtray. The gutters divert water from the passageway to the side. Shelters are delivered in parts for installation on concrete footing or concrete slabs. Also available for surface mounting. The shelter can also be ordered pre-assembled on a concrete slab.

The modular Basic shelter is open at the sides and covered with a polycarbonate corrugated cover. A suitable bike rack from the Finbin collection can be combined with the Basic shelter. The shelter modules can be formed into longer shelter assemblies if required. Basic is designed and manufactured in Finland.

ViVa bicycle shelters

A super stylish, space-saving bicycle shelter. Thanks to its linear design, the bicycle shelter is ideal for demanding locations that require easy passage and unobstructed visibility into the environment.

A green roof refreshes the urban environment

Our shelters can be ordered with green roof readiness (the customer installs the desired green roof themselves) or pre-installed. The green roof material is a sedum grass roof, which is installed and supplied by our Finnish partner EG-Trading. In addition to the ViVa shelter solution, the green roof is available for Vario shelters.

VIVA BUS SHELTERS

ViVa shelters are well suited for access parking, which can be implemented by combining different shelter types of the product family.

VIVA bus stop shelter

The simply stylish ViVa bus stop shelter gives unobstructed visibility to traffic. The shelter can be equipped with a bench, notice board, litter bin and ashtray. The walls are tempered glass, and the ceiling is polycarbonate.

Also available as Hammerglass®

-polycarbonate plate, which is 300 times stronger than glass and almost unbreakable.

BICYCLE RACKS

We have been manufacturing bike racks since 1945. The high-quality bike racks tested in northern conditions are durable, easy to use and can be combined with our shelters. Our latest models have also considered the development of bicycles, the racks are dimensioned to fit disc break wheels and very thick Fatbikes.

FRAME LOCKING

The ability to lock the frame is an important part of a safe bike park, especially in places with free access. Our selection includes frame locking arches that can be attached to the bike rack, as well as arches and bollards that can be installed on the ground.

The Finbin bicycle racks have belonged to the Finnish urban scene since 1945.

CUBIQ BICYCLE RACKS

THE MOST DIVERSE BIKE RACK SOLUTION IN THE MARKET

CubiQ Premium and Standard are truly modular bike rack models, where the distance between the arches can be freely adjusted by the customer, also after installation. There are one- and two-sided versions of both CubiQ models, and CubiQ can also be used to create long rows of bike racks. The three-step adjustment of the arches’ angle lets you point them left, right or to the centre. To make the choice a little easier, we offer three standard distances for the arches: 420, 500, 600 mm.

The CubiQ product family is fully compatible with our ViVa, Vario and Basic shelters.

The CubiQ Standard bike rack provides a frame lock solution for all public environments where the product is required to be easy, durable, and safe. It is also possible to combine the bike rack with the e-scooter rack of the same product family.
