Legends, Every start of a new year, the word, “resolution” is found in the mouths of most Americans. However, despite their well intentions, I believe most never quite follow through and accomplish everything on their list. Why? Are the resolutions too big or are they too small? A few years ago, I stopped calling them resolutions and started setting goals for myself, goals I knew were reachable and goals that scared the hell out of me. And I suggest you do the same. This way, your list will be long enough and strong enough to keep you motivated throughout the year, not just in the beginning. If you want to change your lifestyle, eat healthier, become physically fit, maintain a positive mindset, become closer to God, maintain personal relationships, and stay on track professionally, do it. Write it down. Create a vision board. Make a plan.

Take action.

No more resolutions, only results.

And always remember, I see you, I hear you, I love you.

“FIGURES OF SPEECH” @HIGH MUSUEM OF ART (ATLANTA, GEORGIA) According to high.org, Abloh’s special exhibition entitled “Figures of Speech” is described as an unprecedented survey of his creative work over nearly two decades and pulls back the curtain on the process. And it is definitely “unprecedented”. The exhibit is somewhat expected especially if you follow Abloh on Instagram. His work has a “pattern” that is easily recognizable if you’re paying attention but it grabs you di!erently up close and personal. It’s an exhibit that requires your time, committing several minutes for each work to admire, analyze, explain and discuss. It displays the journey of a career that’s just getting started, there’s much more for Virgil Abloh to say and create."

In the era of fast fashion, it’s rare that you’ll find brands that successfully merge style, versatility, and durability into their pieces. Have you ever felt at the end of your rope? Like you have nothing else to give? What do you do when you’ve had enough? How do you carry all of the weight of the pressures of life on your shoulders?

Short answer- You don’t.

This year, I want to challenge you to stop carrying things that you were not designed to carry. We have a father in heaven who loves and cares for us who sent his son to literally carry our burdens on the cross so we don’t have to.

Psalm 68:19-20 says "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.”

Psalm 55:22 - "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."

Does that mean that we won’t face hard times? Absolutely not. In fact the Bible tells us that storms WILL come. Where we can find peace is that God promises to be with us IN the storm.

Isaiah 43:2- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Often times, we forget that we are never alone. But God cannot take the burdens that we don’t give to him. We need to be active in recognizing our troubles and then giving them to God to take full control and reign.

I personally can be a bit of a control freak at times, but sometimes I just need to be still and recognize that the God I serve can handle whatever trouble life throws at me.

Psalm 46:10- “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

So this decade, let’s travel light. Let’s stop carrying anxiety, stress, depression, worry, and everything else that may try to attack us and give it to God to handle. It’s not our weight to carry, it’s His and He will carry it because He loves us. It’s that simple!

Q. Why did you pick AntonTheLegend as your artist name?

A. I picked my stage name (AntonTheLegend) because my middle name is actually “Anton” and if you look at my stage name in full the Acronyms spell out A.T.L. My goal is to become synonymous with Atlanta.

Q. When did you fall in love with Hip Hop? A. I fell in love with Hip Hop probably from the wound, my father is a huge Eric B. & Rakim fan, and during my childhood we listened to a lot of west coast rap. So I would say around the age of 4 I was fully engulfed in Rap Music.

Q. Why do you create music?

A. I create music so my generation and people my age know that it’s ok to actually talk about your real life in music. You don’t have to lie or keep up with the Jones’. I wanted to bring a sense of honesty back to rap. I feel like it’s missing that right now.

Q. Favorite song you’ve made thus far?

A. My favorite song that I’ve released thus far would have to be “Social Media” it just fits the times that we live in perfectly.

Q. Can you recall a moment when you were incredible inspired?

A. Of course, it’s so cliche but probably the day my son was born. I’ve never felt more inspired to do anything up until that point and now it’s a constant battery that keeps me going in every aspect.

Q. How do you balance your music with your family and work?

A. To find that balance is nearly impossible, but I think what helps is having a supportive wife who keeps me driven. She understands me, so when it comes to putting my time in so many different directions, she always there as motivation to finish whatever I start whether it be work, music, or taking time to step away with family. The key is having someone who’s on board with you and vise versa.

Q. What are some goals for 2020 that you’re willing to share?

A. My goals for 2020 are pretty simple. Release more content, consistently. Get healthier mentally and physically. Achieve multiple streams of income.

Q. What are the top five songs currently on your playlist?

A. Ooooooooohhhhhhh, my top 5 songs right now would be in no specific order: (Peta by Roddy Ricch & Meek Mill, Toast by Koffee, Social Media by Myself (lol), Safety by Kushington, R.O.Y by FTL LU) Q. Who’s legendary to you and why?

A. Andre 3000 would be considered legendary to me just because of the footprint he made for rappers to be themselves. Not to mention, his word play is unmatched. Also, he’s like a Unicorn which is awesome to have given so much but be able to watch from a distance instead of feeling the need to compete with the current generation.

Q. What’s your wildest dream for your career?

A. My wildest dream would be to perform at Made In America has like a Headliner or Birthday Bash. Either one of those would be the “I MADE IT MOMENT”.
