We could not be more thrilled to collaborate with you to help map the future of Left Main! We greatly respect your time and feedback. Our goal is to provide the enclosed standard operating procedures in the interest of setting expectations and making the beta testing experience as fun, engaging and streamlined as possible!

Provide new feature access early in the development lifecycle to a limited customer base, gather valuable user feedback, enable early bug identification and ensure the final product exceeds expectations.

DEFINITIONS

Backlog

For the purposes of Left Main software development, backlog refers to the curated list of feature requests, improvements and bugs to be considered for development in the future.

Beta Test

A field test of the beta version of a product (such as software) especially by testers outside the company developing it that is conducted prior to commercial release. (Source)

Feedback Loop

The continuous process of collecting, analyzing, and acting on feedback from Beta Testers during the Pilot period to improve the final product.

General Release

The point at which software improvements and/or bug fixes are made widely available to all customers. Access may vary depending on subscription options.

DEFINITIONS

NDA

A contract by which one or more parties agree not to disclose confidential information that they have shared with each other as a necessary part of doing business together. Short for non-disclosure agreement, the NDA is the confidentiality agreement executed between Left Main REI and Customer.

Pilot Agreement

The terms and conditions agreement executed between Left Main REI and Customer.

Pilot Program

The Property Sales.AI “Sold Property” Pilot Program is an invite-only program to existing Left Main REI customers that provides early access to a new product under development. The Pilot Program is designed to allow the Customer to use the early and limited version of the Property Sales.AI “Sold Property” product prior to its general release.

Sandbox

Each Left Main org has 1 partial copy Sandbox license by default, which contains your production org’s metadata and selected data that you define in your Sandbox template. (Source)

What is required to participate in the Left Main Insider Program?

The Left Main Insider Program is a beta testing community that allows select users to test new features and provide feedback before a wider release. Depending on the beta feature being tested, participation in the program may be invite-only or extended to Left Main customers to opt in via waiting list form.

How may my team members join the Left Main Insider Program?

Interested users are welcome to participate in the program at your discretion, assuming they have the org permissions required to access the beta feature. As a member of your team, they are subject to the same guidelines illustrated in the Insider SOPs, Pilot Agreement and NDA as applicable.

How do I report bugs found during beta testing?

Use the provided and fill in as many details as possible. Please only use this form for the associated beta feature, as such bugs are routed directly to the product team assigned to the feature, and follow the guidelines for documenting and describing the issue. bug tracking form

FAQs

Will my feedback be implemented?

All feedback is reviewed by the product team and prioritized based on impact and feasibility. While not all suggestions may be implemented, they are all considered.

How often are beta features updated?

Updates are rolled out based on Left Main REI’s development lifecycle and with consideration to other priorities. Testers are informed of updates to beta releases as they occur.

What is the impact on my org when participating in the Left Main Insider Program?

Per Salesforce best practices, beta features are tested in your org’s Sandbox environment as often as possible. By default, each Left Main org has 1 partial copy Sandbox license. We will discuss alternatives on a caseby-case basis in the event that you’re already using this license and don’t want beta features deployed to that environment. Utilizing a Sandbox environment is the preferred method of testing, as it poses no risks to your production org.
