What sets your business/organization apart from your competitors or similar organizations? At Loudoun Valley Floors, we are committed to our company values of honesty, integrity and punctuality. Our company is built on the foundation providing our clients and community with the highest level of respect, pride and appreciation. We strive to set ourselves apart from the competition through our customer service. We realize it is our largest asset and we are constantly working ways to improve. We always try to make our customers feel appreciated not to feel like just a number. We are aware that the community has choices in who they want to do business with and we want them to know that we appreciate them choosing us and try to show it through our efforts on their project.

What has been the biggest challenge of your business and how have you overcome it? Our biggest challenge is the same as many others, the economic downturn over the past several years. We examined our company closely and implemented a plan that at first was uncertain but over time proved to be a solid solution. The problem was to endure the downturn

without having to lay off employees and have the company and employees survive with less revenue. Our solution was basically to reduce cost in all areas of operations from cutting back on snacks in the office to restructuring the health insurance policy. It was of the utmost importance that our sacrifices not impact our commitment to our customers for the quality of service that we provide. What are you most proud of having accomplished over the past year? Loudoun Valley Floors is very proud to be recognized by the Loudoun County Chamber as Retailer of the Year. We have also been granted the Super Service Award from Angie’s List as well as voted “Best Flooring Store” in Loudoun for the eighth time by The Leesburg Today readers. We feel very fortunate that we have experienced a 12% sales growth over the past year for our retail service and service sales; this is above the national average for our industry. We at Loudoun Valley Floors and Loudoun Carpet Care agree the biggest thing that we are proud of (thanks to the support of our customers and community) is that we are in a position to give back to our community by giving contributions of services, materials and funds to local organizations.
