I have developed my interest on architecture during Secondary School. Witnessing how construction and operation of buildings captivated me. Over the past three years, I have delved deeper into this passion through engaging studio projects and navigating the complexities of architectural design.
Beyond my architectural works, I’m actively involved in community service and event planning. These experiences have broadened my perspective on the world and honed my leaderhsip skills. Balancing academic pursuits with extracurricular activites has instilled resilience and time management skills within me.

STUDIO
PROJECT | ROBIN’S IN THE HOOD | Sustainable / Gardening School
Mentor : Ron Tang Lin Rong, Sharon Hui Xian Tan, David Tanadi
For this studio project, we are tasked with designing an architectural building inspired by our chosen “Guru.” I have selected the Oriental Magpie Robin as my Guru and will explore its form and characteristics to create the final architectural design.
ORIENTAL MAGPIE ROBIN
LANDING AND FLYING POSITION STATIONARY
UNFOLDING OF THE ORIENTAL MAGPIE ROBIN:
Through the artful manipulation of origami, inspired by the Oriental Magpie Robin, I have crafted three distinct forms. By unfolding, cutting, and recombining these forms, each representing different positions and aspects of the bird, I have conceptualized an innovative and sustainable school design. This final architectural form seamlessly integrates the elegance of nature with functional and eco-friendly principles, creating a harmonious educational environment.

The Film Hub reimagines the historical Cathay Theatre during the Japanese Occupation, incorporating elements of terror and horror derived from the firsthand accounts of those who sought refuge there. This architectural homage reflects the building’s legacy as a sanctuary amidst the turmoil of war.

Deconsturct and Reconstruct the Old Cathay into a New Cathay (Present)
The old Cathay Theatre, once associated with terror during the Japanese Occupation, has been transformed into a modern Film Hub. This evolution symbolizes overcoming the past and represents a forward-looking vision for the future stories of Singaporeans.
HUMAN CIRCULATION STUDIES:
From the Human Circulation around Dhoby Green, There is 2 points that people would mainly walk pass by Dhoby Green
NOISE ANALYSIS:
The Youth Film Making Hub’s layout is designed with varying masses, particularly in the middle section, strategically isolated from noise pollution.

From the Massing, it’s Split to make both openings at the End as entrance for people to walk through the Youth Hub
SUN AND WIND ANALYSIS:
Rearrange the concept design spaces into a more schematic design, firstly focusing on the sun and wind analysis, the strategy of stack and cross ventilation is being incoorporated

WORLD SKILLS SINGAPORE
DESIGN COMPETITION | Competition under the Digital Construction Category
Mentor : Khoo Kee Chai Godfrey, David Tanadi
At WorldSkills Singapore 2023, we have learned about various disciplines within the construction industry, including architectural, mechanical, and structural fields. This experience has provided us with additional knowledge in design and the coordination of these different disciplines.
STRUCTURAL DISCIPLINE:
The structural discipline relies on the modeling provided by the architectural discipline to ensure effective coordination between the two fields. Specifically, the structural discipline focuses on creating the structural frame of an architectural model, where various analyses are conducted on structural columns to maintain the stability of the structure. For this modeling session, the task involves designing a residential apartment intended for people to live in.

ARCHITECTURAL DISCIPLINE:
The architectural discipline primarily focuses on the building’s design, encompassing the façade, floor finishes, and the provision of schedules and quantities for various architectural items. This includes detailing the number of doors, windows, and the associated costs for each item. Additionally, it involves labeling and zoning areas to calculate and estimate the area of each zone in square meters. Overall, the architect plays a pivotal role, coordinating with suppliers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) teams, and structural engineers, overseeing the project from inception to the completion of the building.
BUKIT MERAH TOWN CENTER DESIGN
DESIGN
COMPETITION |
Mentor : John Guk
The “Bukit Merah Town Centre Placemaking Challenge,” organized by HDB with SIA, seeks ideas to rejuvenate towns under HDB’s Remaking our Heartlands Programme, enhancing sustainability and vibrancy since 2007.
MERAH T “R” ALE
OVERALL CONCEPT
The architectural competition centers around Bukit Merah Town Center, a vibrant location steeped in historical significance. Participants are invited to draw inspiration from the legendary tale of the “Revenge of the Swordfish” and create innovative architectural forms that embody various interpretations of this story. The competition aims to merge folklore with modern design, creating structures that resonate with both the past and the present.
SITE FINDINGS
Our extensive survey and observation of Bukit Merah Town Center have provided valuable insights into the daily lives and activities of the residents and stakeholders involved in this vibrant community. Understanding the needs, behaviors, and interactions of the people living in this area is crucial to developing a concept that is not only architecturally innovative but also socially relevant and inclusive.

DIGITAL MODELLING | European Cafe
Mentor : Khoo Kee Chai Godfrey
In this assignment, we are tasked with designing an architectural project using BIM software, specifically Revit. For my project, I have designed a European café, focusing on the aesthetic elements characteristic of European-style cafes.
EUROPEAN CAFE OBJECTIVE:
The goal of this proposal is to blend European style with modern architectural elements for a café that provides a comfortable dining experience. The design will feature European-inspired facades and interiors, complemented by modern furniture, lighting, and air conditioning. The two-story café will have a kitchen and dining area on the first floor, with additional seating on the second floor. A balcony on the second floor will allow customers to enjoy their meals while overlooking the busy streets, cre ating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.

LEVEL 1 CASHIER:
Level 1 of the European café offers a vibrant, cozy atmosphere at night. It blends European aesthetics with modern elements, warm lighting, and elegant decor, creating an inviting spot for evening diners.
LEVEL 2 BALCONY DINING:
For customers seeking a scenic view, this European café is ideal. It offers a pleasant spot to admire the bustling city nightlife, providing a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
LEVEL 2 PRIVATE DINING:
Level 2 offers a more private dining area, providing a quiet escape from the bustling café below. This section features secluded spaces, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere where patrons can dine undisturbed.
