transform education by even choosing to increase the budget dedicated to secondary schools as well as their equipment. It is one of our political priorities.

“Education is one of our political priorities.” What about SESRI and the CPRDFOP (contract for regional development, professional training and orientation plan), which should help you to identify the priorities for your intervention?

What are the skills of your community in terms of heritage management? According to the law of 2002, we have very wide powers in terms of culture and heritage, as much in terms of inventory as development and conservation. Today, the community is working on the construction of courses and the emergence of territorial

projects: several calls for projects are planned in 2017 in this vein. The goal: position the project leaders around the development of Corsican sites, with the will to network the various museums so that they may gain visibility. To what extent does the Corsican language influence your cultural activity? Beyond a communication system, language is the vehicle of a universe, a vision of the world, a relationship with the territory: it is, in fact, fundamental and is the transmitter of our identity. It is also a “bridge language” to the other Romance languages, towards a linguistic variety which is an integral part of our educational model. As we also work to build relationships with our Mediterranean neighbours. Through our language, in cultural activities, we are working to re-anchor Corsica in its natural environment, in order to fully live our identity, that of a people of an island in Europe, at the heart of the Mediterranean. We wanted to go beyond the CPRDFOP by implementing consultations with the socio-occupational players and the institutions, to better “stick” to their expectations. Presented at our Meeting next spring, this contract will serve as a roadmap to the implementation of career guidance projects. For greater efficiency, the assessment tools of our training plans will need to be doubled along with follow-up plans: this dynamic will

help to adapt to the actual needs by developing regional competitiveness. As for the SESRI, we have appealed for contributions, namely from the University of Corsica, which is a key player in higher education and research in our territory. It is in a phase of reflection on the development of new training plans. This period is therefore conducive to a joint reflection on new opportunities in terms of training around areas in line with our major strategic directions of development for the territory. We want to increase R&D activities; our territory includes platforms specialised around different themes: ENR, marine resources, agronomy, in particular, that we need to support in their development projects.
