Prekindergarten-Grade 2

Grade 3-Grade 8

In LEARN’s Family of Schools, students embark on a transformative journey to discover what truly makes them come alive. Through dynamic project-based learning, they explore themes that spark selfdiscovery and deepen their understanding of and connections with family, community, and the world around them. With dual-language learning options in both English and Spanish, students may engage in bilingual and biliterate learning, fostering empathy, respect, and an appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.

Empowered to pursue their passions, students follow interest-driven paths that prepare them to confidently shape their own futures. Along the way, they ignite a lifelong love of learning, becoming creative, compassionate leaders equipped to make a difference in a more sustainable and equitable world.

Students learn about their own culture while growing appreciation, respect, and empathy for the diverse cultures and perspectives in their community. At our Regional Multicultural Magnet School, students can continue their journey toward becoming bilingual and biliterate. With hands-on, projectbased learning, students are empowered to use their voices to make a difference and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Students pursue interest-driven paths that explore three key areas:

Our Society: Through fieldwork, advocacy, and education.

The Environment: Through fieldwork, aquaculture, and research.

The World’s Economy: Focusing on business, industry, and technology. Using a project-based approach, students learn to ask important questions, dive into hands-on learning experiences, and develop creative solutions, equipping them to become stewards of a more sustainable and equitable future.

Spring/Summer 2024

In 2023, LEARNs market analysis and stakeholder engagement—through targeted meetings and focus groups provided key insights that led to the decision to reimagine LEARN’s Family of Schools. This foundation enabled us to secure 51 Daniels Avenue and initiate a strategic 3-year plan for transformation.

Vision in Action & Design Dreams

Parents, staff, and community members united to shape our new early childhood school’s vision for a prekindergarten - grade 2 museum magnet program and regional special education services in a state-of-the-art facility.

Architects met with parents, staff, and community groups for input on the physical design of the school building.

Reimagining Momentum

Our Central Office Team launched a reimagining workgroup to gather feedback about LEARN’s Family of Schools and streamline communication around the reimagining plan. We engaged with families and caregivers of our Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS), in person and virtually, as we began to envision a compelling middle school program. Our architectural firm analyzed space at both RMMS and our Marine Science Magnet High School (MSMHS). The goal: To create functional learning spaces that are inspiring for middle and high school students.

Input from our educators will guide future teaching assignments and the design of our middle grades program.
