We hope that the holiday break was restful and filled with many joyous memories for our Learn and Play Montessori families. The holiday season is always a fun time. In December, the children enjoyed Christmas arts and crafts. They also put on a wonderful concert for parents. Thank you for attending the concert, we hope all of you enjoyed it!

Welcome Back! We hope the time with your family over winter break was filled with lots of joyous new memories. LAPMS would love to hear about your family’s winter break experiences. Any pictures or stories you have to share are welcome. Bringing these memories into class, where the students can see and share them, builds a great home-school connection.

Throughout December, the children quickly transitioned from Thanksgiving/Fall songs to Winter Songs which they worked very hard to perform at our Annual Winter Concert. The children were looking forward to flaunt their Holiday props as they sang their Winter Songs for their parents. We would like to thank all of our parents who were able to make it to our Winter Concert. Again, it is due to all our parent’s involvement and cooperation that our Holiday events are a great success!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day – 1/19/15 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a United States federal holiday marking the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year, which is around the time of King’s birthday, January 15. There will be NO SCHOOL on January 19th ,2015.

Student Appreciation Day – 01/30/2015 On this day we will recognize each of our prized students by providing children with a special snack of Lemonade and Goldfish.

Teachers will also recognize children by having a special activity planned just for them!

Please let the front desk know if you don’t want your child to participate in this activity.
