A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
TREND: COLOR ME FALL GOLDEN
TREND: CACTUS IS THE NEW LEATHER

TREND: MODERN COWGIRL
As I watch the sunset over the Catalinas, I realize how my soul is poured through this editorial. The Golden Horizons idea started as a simplified introduction to the Sonoran Desert, but then it grew to showcase how the desert inspires fashion. My good friend Karina Carillo is a big reason for this concept. She created the beautiful green corset seen in this editorial. The corset is made from cactus leather, a trend explained later.

From this singular garment, everything else came together. I wanted to stress that the desert is not just rocks and dirt. The colors and shapes that form the landscape are rich and vibrant. The most challenging part of this editorial was the fight against time. I wanted to emphasize the golden hue in the pictures, so we only had an hour to shoot five looks. But we made it work! The rest of the process was smooth. I loved creating each look and photo. And I am so excited to show others the final product. Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday season!

As sustainability continues to populate the fashion industry, alternatives to leather are on the rise. Our editors are seeing more and more leather products made from cactus. This productive, environmentally friendly material holds well, like genuine leather.

Fall 2025 will be all about olive green, mustard yellow, and optic white. These classic colors will give a punch of flavor to any outfit.

Western wear has proven successful, but is it considered fashion-forward? The answer, absolutely. This trend is growing at an exponential rate that shows no signs of slowing down.
