Moving into the 24-25 school year, I want to pause and remind us all of the wins we had last year. Let’s first begin with sharing a story that captures the heart of what we do at Leading Little Arrows. It’s the journey of a young learner we’ll call Sunny Arrow a name that’s not his real one but one that reflects his bright journey with us.
When Sunny first came to us, he faced a mountain of challenges Overwhelmed and unsure, he struggled with his new environment, his sensory sensitivities, and a lack of confidence. His outbursts were frequent, and it seemed like every day was a battle. One the LLA team gladly geared up to fight

Sunny’s beautiful story isn’t just about struggles but transformation With the love and support from our team, Sunny began to change Through a personalized plan and lots of encouragement, Sunny started focusing better, communicating more, and even trying new things. A standout moment for us was when Sunny, who was once afraid to try new experiences, sampled salsa for the first time during summer camp. That little bite was more than just trying a new food it was a sign that our Staff have built a relationship of trust with him. Through this trust is bravely embracing new experiences.

In Texas, where 1 in 6 children are in need of mental health resources and 68% of students face economic challenges, it can often feel like support is out of reach for many families At Leading Little Arrows, we strive to be that lifeline, providing crucial support and creating opportunities for all Seeing learners like Sunny thrive not only reaffirms the importance of our mission but also fuels our commitment to continue making a difference

Leading Little Arrows has been an absolute blessing to our family, transforming our lives in ways we never thought possible. My son [Sunny’s] journey has been a challenging one, filled with obstacles and setbacks as we searched tirelessly for the right resources to address his ADHD and support his intellectual development. We found ourselves moving from school to school, hoping to find an environment that could cater to [Sunny’s] unique needs and unlock his potential.
At the tender age of 4, [Sunny] was still not speaking, which was a source of great concern for us as parents. While he demonstrated some ability to understand instructions, it was limited, and the daily struggle to meet his needs and effectively communicate with him was overwhelming for both my wife and me. We often felt helpless, watching our son struggle to express himself and interact with the world around him.
After experiencing disappointment with a couple of schools, we stumbled upon Leading Little Arrows. From the moment we stepped through their doors, we knew we had found something special. Since enrolling [Sunny] at Leading Little Arrows, we ' ve witnessed a remarkable transformation that has exceeded our wildest expectations. His growth has progressed at an astonishing pace, with improvements across all areas of his development. Our son, who once struggled to communicate, is now engaging in conversations, expressing his thoughts and feelings, and developing in ways we had only dreamed of before.
The progress in [Sunny’s] speech has been nothing short of miraculous From a child who was non-verbal, he has blossomed into a little chatterbox, eager to share his ideas and experiences with us. His awareness of his surroundings and ability to interact with others has improved drastically, opening up a whole new world of social opportunities for him
We find ourselves constantly in awe of the positive changes we see in [Sunny] every day. The joy of hearing him call us "Mom" and "Dad" for the first time—and even using our first names at times was momentous, bringing us laughter and joy. Watching him engage in imaginative play with his peers are moments we will cherish forever These milestones, which once seemed out of reach, are now regular occurrences in our daily lives.
