Compassion Unleashed: Our 2024 Impact Journey

A note from the CEO:

Of all the updates I get to share each year, this one always feels the most meaningful. In 2024, our team showed up like never before—dedicating 3,025 volunteer hours, an 88% increase from last year, and raising $788k for nonprofits, a 56% jump from 2023. These incredible gains didn’t happen by chance. We leaned into promoting our volunteer PTO, teams came together for group activities, and donation drives became a rallying point that united us. From grassroots efforts to nationwide initiatives, we made sure our support reached animals and communities who needed it most. Looking ahead, I’m inspired by how much heart we’ve put into giving back and excited to see how we’ll keep building on this momentum.

EmbraceCLE 2024: A RecordBreaking Year

“When we launched the EmbraceCLE Challenge as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a small step to support our community during uncertain times. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine it would grow to this scale, cumulatively raising $1.2 million for Northeast Ohio communities in just five years. Each year, we’ve seen it gain momentum, enabling us to contribute significantly to the vital work of local nonprofits. We’re committed to enhancing this initiative, reaching more organizations, and making an even greater impact in the years to come.”

The Embrace Pet Insurance Scholarship

Embrace is dedicated to expanding its mission of helping homeless pets in shelters by investing in the future of veterinary medicine. Embrace partnered with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) to award $5,000 scholarships to five veterinary students who plan to pursue careers in shelter medicine after graduation. For more information on the Embrace Pet Insurance Veterinary Scholarship, click here

“This scholarship enables me to pursue my dreams in shelter medicine and serve the communities that need it most. It inspires me to work tirelessly to improve animal welfare and create lasting, positive impacts on the lives of pets and their families.”

“It is an honor to receive a scholarship that supports my passion for providing veterinary care to animals in need, whether through high-volume spay and neuter services or expanding access to veterinary care in rural communities. This award helps to alleviate the financial burden of my education and represents an investment in my vision for a future where the well-being of all animals is recognized and prioritized.”

“Being the recipient of the Embrace Pet Insurance Scholarship from the AVMF is an incredible honor and profound affirmation of my dedication to veterinary medicine, particularly my passion for shelter medicine. It represents not only a recognition of my hard work and aspirations, but also a commitment to advancing animal welfare, addressing overpopulation, client education, and strengthening the bond between pets and their families.”

“In addition to helping ease the financial burden that comes with veterinary school, this scholarship will allow me to focus on my education to best serve my future patients, participate in clinics that help improve access to veterinary care for underserved communities, and pursue externship opportunities that will allow me to diversify my experiences within shelter medicine.”

We are delighted that Embrace Pet Insurance has partnered with the AVMF by creating a new scholarship to support veterinary students interested in a career in shelter medicine. We are thankful for Embrace’s commitment to support veterinary students and enable them to pursue the career they desire upon graduation

“This award not only eases the financial burden of completing my final year of veterinary school, but also highlights the critical importance of shelter medicine in our communities. As transition into my veterinary career, I am committed to making this generous gift count through positive, meaningful impacts on animals in need.”

“Volunteering at the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City (PRCKC) is incredibly impactful because you see firsthand how their mission—Keeping Pets and People Together™ —changes lives. Knowing that the work we do helps families avoid heartbreaking decisions, like rehoming or euthanasia due to financial challenges, makes every moment spent there meaningful. PRCKC’s unwavering commitment to keeping pets out of shelters and in loving homes is what inspires me to be part of their efforts.”

“I’m grateful for the chance to volunteer with Orphan Resources International, helping meet the immense needs of Guatemala’s 500,000 orphaned children.
