Welcome to Seaford College for this, our fourth Seaford Super Sevens Netball Tournament.
Our inaugural competition was held in 2020, and we are thrilled to be able to welcome you all back.
There will, no doubt, be some very competitive matches today with so many talented netballers on display from many wonderful schools. We are sure to see high levels of skill and enthusiasm, and we are in for some fantastic games of netball.
Netball here at Seaford continues to go from strength to strength, both in terms of participation and results, and we are very proud of the work ethic and attitude of the girls across both our Senior and Prep School.
We hope that you enjoy the tournament today and come back and see us again soon!
Miss Simeone Compton Assistant Director of Sports | Head of Netball
Welcome to the Seaford Super Sevens Netball Tournament.
I am delighted to welcome you all to the fourth year of the Seaford Super Sevens Netball Tournament. Each year, this competition continues to grow in quality, intensity, and opportunity, and we are excited to see the exceptional standard of teams competing today.
At Seaford, sport is at the heart of our curricular, co-curricular, and social life. We are passionate about the idea that “Sport for All” and “Performance Sport” can co-exist, ensuring that every student is given the chance to develop, compete, and thrive. The Super Sevens is designed to challenge our studentathletes in a high-performance environment, where they can test their skills, learn, and grow against strong opposition. The format of the tournament allows for rapid learning and reflection for both players and coaches, fostering continuous improvement throughout the day.
Our core values of RESPECT, TEAMWORK, COURAGE, and TRUST are at the foundation of everything we do in Seaford Sport:
• RESPECT - for teammates, opponents, officials, and the game itself.
• TEAMWORK - working together, supporting one another, and striving for collective success.
• COURAGE - pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and stepping out of comfort zones.
• TRUST - believing in yourself, your team, and the process of development.
As a Sports Department, we are committed to creating a visionary, student centred environment that promotes enjoyment, inclusivity, character, and hard work. Our goal is to develop independent learners who can adapt, make decisions, and reflect - skills that are not only vital in sport but in life itself.
A special thank you to Chichester University for providing this outstanding indoor venue, and to Miss Compton and the entire sports team for their dedication in making today possible.
Finally, to all players - give your best, embrace the competition, and most importantly, enjoy every moment. Play with energy, effort, and enthusiasm, and demonstrate the Seaford way both on and off the court.
Good luck to all teams!
Mr Liam Doubler Director of Sport & Co-Curricular
