From our CEO

As we reach the end of anotherfantastic year, we have so much to celebrate across ourtwo Trusts. Once again, we’ve had successful Ofsted and SIAMS inspections. While external validation is always welcome, we didn’t need itto know just how brilliant our schools truly are; we already knew!

This brilliance is grounded in our revised Trustvision:

Grounded in faith, growing beyond expectations, serving with love.

At LDBS Academies Trust and Trust 2, ourvision is inspired bythe Parable ofthe Mustard Seed (Matthew13:31–32).

Like the mustard seed, every school in ourTrust holds the potential to growfar beyond what may be expected. With nurture and high aspirations, we create the environment in which this growth can thrive. Just as the mustard seed becomes a tree where birds perch in its branches, so too are our schools places of blessing and belonging, where both pupils and adults can flourish.

Grounded in faith, inspired by hope, and walking in love, we journeytogetherto broaden horizons, equip one anotherfor action, and empower all for service. In growing beyond expectations, we become a transforming presence in our communities, a reflection ofthe kingdom of God atwork

This year has again brought change, purposeful and values-driven change We have continued refining ourTrust’s distinct approach through ourwork on increasingly inclusive curriculums. We are strengthening howwe support excellence; from the moment children enter in the EarlyYears through to when they leave us secondary-ready We are addressing the needs of children with SEND in more creative and effective ways. We are enhancing provision for our EAL learners, and we’re working hard to ensure pupil mobility no longer presents a barrierto learning. All this has been achieved while staying true to our Christian distinctiveness.

Our New Sensory Room:

We are pleased to share that a new sensory room has recently been introduced at our school, designed to support pupils who benefit from a sensory-rich environment to aid with emotional regulation, focus, and wellbeing

The space provides a calm, safe, and carefully structured environment where children can engage with a range of sensory experiences. This includes bubble tubes, projectors, and light-up music boards, all of which offer a multisensory experience to promote relaxation and positive engagement

The room is already being used by pupils who may find busy or noisy settings overwhelming, as well as those with identified sensory needs or challenges with emotional regulation It serves both as a preventative and responsive space supporting children in returning to learning when they are feeling dysregulated, anxious, or overstimulated.

Staff have received training in how to use the space effectively, and access is managed as part of individual support plans, often in collaboration with our SEND team The sensory room is just one of the ways we are working to embed inclusive practice and create a supportive environment for all learners We look forward to continuing to develop this provision and sharing its positive impact across the Trust.

This year, we have introduced a revised Art and Design & Technology curriculum across the school, with a focus on progression, skill development, and broadening pupils' creative experiences

The curriculum has been deliberately structured to allow children to revisit and build on key techniques over time As a result, pupils are beginning to show increasing confidence in applying skills such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and product design. Lessons are carefully planned to ensure children have opportunities to practise and refine these skills through a range of projects and materials.

Staff have noted that pupils are engaging positively with the new curriculum Many children are taking greater care with their work, showing pride in their outcomes, and are beginning to articulate their creative choices with more clarity. The curriculum also provides space for exploration and reflection, helping pupils to develop both creatively and critically.

While it is still early in implementation, the changes have already led to richer classroom discussions, more purposeful outcomes, and a broader understanding of the role of design and artistic expression in everyday life We continue to monitor and reflect on the curriculum’s impact, and look forward to developing it further over the coming terms.

Junior Leadership Team Bake Sale: The JLT spent a day atAccenture in the City of London planning their bake sale and creating publicity materials. The sale itselfwas a great success and raised £327forthe Haringey Community Food Network.

SpiritualityWeek:

Our newly created pneumonic helped children to deepen their understanding of spirituality. During the week pupils explored spirituality and what it means to them. They recorded the spiritual moments they shared through artwork and wrote prayers for our 'prayertree'.

High Flying

St Richard’s enjoying residential

Year 6 went to Paccar Scout Camp for 4 nights and had an amazing time even though it rained most of the week! They got to experience abseiling, archery, night line, giant swing, gladiator run, zip lines, high ropes, caving and topped up with a traditional camp fire.

We were very proud of the perseverance and resilience that the children showed in trying new activities and pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.

They were all incredibly well behaved all week and were a credit to our school!

Last week Year 2 and Year 3 got to go to West Wittering beach They were very excited to take a coach on this long journey to the beach. The children spent the whole day on the beach. Whilst they were there they played on the sand, had sandcastle competitions, went for a paddle in the sea and even got an ice lolly!

Year 6 had an unforgettable experience on their recent three-night residential trip with Sayers Croft. Despite a rather sleepless first night, pupils embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination Over the course of the trip, they enjoyed a wide range of activities including a scenic hike, raft building (with some very inventive results!), a river walk, a blindfold course, orienteering, and a refreshing swimming session They also stepped back in time with visits to a reconstructed roundhouse and a WWII air raid shelter, deepening their understanding of history through immersive learning The adventure continued with bouldering and the high ropes course, where pupils showed incredible courage and teamwork. It was a truly enriching experience that created lasting memories for all involved.

We are delighted to share the success of our recent KS1 and KS2 Sports Days, held at Willesden Sports Centre Both events were a fantastic celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit KS1 enjoyed glorious weather, while KS2 showed incredible resilience and enthusiasm despite the damp conditions proving that a little rain can’t stop the fun! It was especially heartening to see so many parents in attendance, cheering on their children and even taking part in the fiercely contested parents’ race Thank you to everyone who helped make these days so memorable for our pupils

To celebrate Thank a Teacher Day on 18th June, the children at SASF created a beautiful and heartfelt display to show their appreciation for our dedicated staff. Each child wrote a personal thank you note to a staff member who had given them a helping hand, whether through support, encouragement or simply a kind word The result was a vibrant and touching tribute that highlighted the strong relationships and sense of community we value so highly at our academy It was a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that every member of staff has on our pupils' lives S t A n d r e w a n d S t F r a n c i s

Holy Trinity Junior Leadership Team went all out for their Bake Off event It was a difficult afternoon, taste testing all the wonderful bakes that came in from parents and children, and all who took part were certainly committed to tasting as many as they could! We will be donating the money that the JLT raised to our local Holy Trinity Church Food Bank.

✝ A School of Kindness, Belonging and Faith

Our recent SIAMS Church School inspection captured so much of what makes Millbrook Park special. The report praised the way our school lives out its vision based on the story of the Good Samaritan, highlighting that:

"Relationships within the school and beyond are defined by the vision to ‘love your neighbour’ Positive and respectful relationships encourage and strengthen the school community and create a strong sense of belonging "

"The inclusive culture is transformational, changing lives for pupils including those who are disadvantaged "

"Pupils and adults feel safe and have a sense of belonging. Staff are valued through thoughtful professional development and a supportive leadership team " "This is a place where loving one another enables members to feel included and flourish."

We are truly honoured that the inspection team recognised the depth of care, faith, and connection that we see and feel in school every day.

LAT Parliament Fundraising – Supporting Our Local Food Banks

As part of the LAT Parliament fundraising project, St Paul’s and All Hallows’ pupils took action to support our local community through a fantastic bake sale!

The pupils and staff had a wonderful time baking, selling – and of course, tasting –delicious cookies, all while raising money for a great cause The funds raised were donated to Fr. Staffan to support the church food bank.

This was a great opportunity for our pupils to learn about the importance of giving back and making a positive impact in the community we live in. Well done, everyone!

We were excited to launch our new Teaching Kitchen on the 7 of July. A space where food becomes more than just lunch This marks an important step in our school's commitment to health, learning, and lifelong skills th

Why this matters:

Guitar Concert – A Musical Treat!

A huge thank you to Nick and Derick from Haringey Music, who come in every week to teach and support our amazing pupils. Your dedication and encouragement make all the difference – thank you for helping our young musicians shine!

At St. Paul’s & All Hallows’ Infant & Junior Schools, we believe food is part of education not just fuel for the day. We're proud to be leading the way by:

Investing in professional training for our kitchen staff to serve nutritious, balanced meals every day.

Launching a new lunch policy across our Local Authority Trust, ensuring that good food is central to school life.

Teaching basic cooking skills to our children so they can confidently prepare healthy, affordable meals at home.

Helping fight childhood obesity and diet-related illness, supporting not just our students, but easing the pressure on the NHS in the long term

When Two Giants Visited Meridian Angel!

On Thursday 12th June, Meridian Angel School had the honour of welcoming two remarkable women – Marva Rollins OBE, former Headteacher of Raynham Primary, and Councillor Margaret Greer, the Mayor of Enfield. The children asked thoughtful and insightful questions, and in return, heard inspiring stories of resilience, friendship, and hope.

Summer Fayre Sunshine and Smiles!

What a fantastic afternoon we had at our Summer Fayre on Thursday 3rd July! The sun was shining, the laughter was flowing, and our wonderful school community truly came to life A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, supported, and helped make the day so special – your presence and generosity mean the world to us

A huge thank you goes to Mrs Bennett for her tireless efforts in organising the event, to our brilliant parents and carers who gave up their time to run stalls, and to the amazing staff who stayed behind to make it all happen.

Both visitors shared how these values helped them overcome challenges in their own lives The school community is deeply grateful for their time and wisdom. Looking ahead, members of the School Council will be visiting the Mayor’s Office next year, and a special coffee morning will be held for families to meet the Mayor – watch this space!

A Busy and Brilliant Summer Term at Stanwell Fields

As the summer term draws to a close, there’s been no shortage of excitement and achievement at Stanwell Fields! From playground upgrades to glowing Ofsted feedback, it’s been a term to remember One of the most exciting developments has been the transformation of our outdoor spaces The old tennis courts have been given a vibrant new lease of life with the installation of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). Complete with goal ends, basketball hoops, and a variety of activity panels, the MUGA has quickly become a favourite spot for energetic play and team games.

Meanwhile, our infant playground has also seen a fantastic upgrade with the addition of a brand-new trim trail, encouraging physical activity, balance, and fun for our younger pupils

These improvements wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of the Friends of Stanwell Fields, whose tireless fundraising efforts helped make this dream a reality We are also immensely grateful for a generous £49,277 grant from Surrey’s Small Community Projects Fund, which was secured through a successful bid A special thank you goes to Cllr Robert Evans OBE for bringing this funding opportunity to our attention

The children are thoroughly enjoying the new equipment during playtimes and lunchtimes, and it’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and creativity in action.

In addition to these exciting changes, we were delighted to welcome Ofsted in June. Their visit highlighted many of the strengths that make Stanwell Fields such a special place to learn and grow. Key findings from their report include:

Pupils feel safe, secure, and happy, with a strong emphasis on well-being.

The introduction of our ‘Stanwell Standard’ has positively impacted behaviour, promoting respect and focus

Staff and leaders maintain high expectations for all pupils, ensuring barriers to learning are removed

A wide range of leadership opportunities help children develop responsibility and community spirit

Our early years provision lays a strong foundation, especially in communication, language, and maths

A determined approach to early reading and phonics ensures swift support for those who need it

Inspectors also praised the calm and purposeful atmosphere in classrooms, the strength of our personal development programme, and the importance we place on mental health and well-being. Pupils were noted to be respectful, aware of school rules, and confident that they are valued and cared for.

As a result, we are proud to share that Stanwell Fields continues to be rated as a good school a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and community spirit that defines our school. Here’s to a successful end of term and an even brighter future ahead!
