Creative Writing Workshop Some of the Creative Writing Workshop students at Lancaster Catholic spent the day at Susquehanna University on Monday, October 22nd for a Creative Writing program.

Annual Fall Blood Drive Donors Wanted The annual fall blood drive will be held Tuesday, November 6 from 8:00 to 2:00 in the Old Gym. The Blood Drive is sponsored our National Honor Society and Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank.

Did you know that every 2 seconds someone needs a blood transfusion? It is a safe and easy process which takes approximately 45 minutes.

Anyone age 16 or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health on the day of the drive may donate. Pennsylvania law requires a parent consent form for students who are 16 years old. Permission forms are available in the Library and must be returned by Friday, November 2.

Unfortunately, International students may not donate since they have not been in the U.S. for 1 complete year.

All donors must present a photo ID at the time of donation.

Sign-up sheets for donating will be available in the Library beginning Monday, October 22. Please encourage your son or daughter to donate. If you would like to donate please email Miss Susan Martin at smatin@lchsyes.org with your preferred time.

School Counseling Corner: Timely Tips from your School Counselors Seniors - did you know that November 1st is only 2 weeks from today?

If you have Early Action/Decision deadlines to meet, please make sure you are requesting your test scores through ACT or SAT, letters of recommendation from your teachers and touching base with your School Counselor to make sure everything is being sent on time.

The FAFSA completion workshop with PHEAA’s own, Sonya Mann-McFarlane, will be on Tuesday, November 13 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. - a great time to get your financial aid applications completed!

Coffee with Counselors - all parents of freshmen are invited to a brief meeting with the School Counselors to discuss the first quarter report cards and check in with you about your student on Tuesday, November 6th from 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. in the Faculty Dining Room.

“Do As You Please” Bus Trip to New York City Sunday, December 9, 2018 ~ 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to benefit the LCHS Field Hockey Team $54.00 per person - includes driver gratuity

On Sunday, December 9, 2018, we will depart Lancaster Catholic High School at 7 a.m. sharp!

We will be dropped off at the rear of the Winter Garden Theater which is a prime location to enjoy shopping, the theater district, the museums, and Time Square. NYC will be abuzz with Christmas decorations and good cheer.

Bus picks up at the same location at 7 p.m. for an approximate return to Lancaster Catholic High School at 10 p.m.

Tickets cost $54 which includes the gratuity for the • bus drivers.

• We have two buses reserved for this event so space • is limited - first come/first served.

Parent Referral Program Our Referral Program is meant to thank families who have added new members to the Crusader family. For each new family that enrolls, the referring family will receive a $500 discount on tuition for the 20182019 school year, applied at the end of the 2nd marking period.

Currently, five Crusader families are receiving this discount. All you have to do is recommend Lancaster Catholic!
