The position of Production Planner/Scheduler creates and maintains production schedules in the manufacturing plant in order to ensure that all company goals are achieved and that deadlines are met. By developing effective schedules, the Production Planner/Scheduler plays a major role in helping Arconas to reach its production objectives. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining schedules, planning the use of resources in the most effective manner, providing quick responses to production issues, identifying problems, helping to improve processes, using software to generate reports/schedules and ensuring that company objectives are met. Scope of Position •
Responsible for Scheduling and coordinating flow of work within or between departments of the manufacturing plant to expedite production. Establish and review the master production schedule.

Organize and prioritize production orders for customer orders and in-house stock. Prepare master schedule to establish sequence and lead times to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts. Plan and schedule workflows according to lead times and ship dates. Prepare and execute production schedules while overseeing and ensuring that production staff are meeting targets. Coordinate and adjust work schedules as required to meet deadlines. Review daily open orders to ensure order fulfillment is achieved. Participate in regular meetings & act as a liaison between Production & Project Management Office. Liaise between production departments and Engineering to change processes and alter sequences to ensure accurate completion of jobs. Report and follow-up on discrepancies to the appropriate department. Review production scanning & ensure accountability in various departments. Oversee the planning function during design and/or production stages of assigned special projects. Develop contingency plans for any orders tracking behind to production schedule. Perform lead time analysis and prepare production schedules based on priority, lead time, quantity, and product availability.
