The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the management of all phases of the supply chain including: inventory control, transportation (land & ocean), customs, warehousing and distribution and purchasing. You are a “hands on” manager who is comfortable operating from the ‘nuts & bolts’ detail to participating in high level discussions and decisions. You are a working team member, providing direct assistance to your team members when required. Job Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Manage the forecasting and planning activities for raw materials and finished goods inventories by providing exceptional order fill rates against a minimal working capital investment Planning, organizing and directing the activities of buyers, contracts administrators, expeditors, inspectors, shipping and logistics staff, for the supply of necessary materials and equipment Manage the logistics network, select and work with 3rd party service providers to ensure cost competitive, on time delivery Manage the production/job planning process Working with our vendors to move towards a vendor managed inventory system and reducing the required forecasting timeline Continually monitoring sales, incoming product, and new orders to ensure high fill rates while lowering days in inventory Providing general and direct supervision to the supply chain staff Acting as liaison with the client on all supply chain functions Leading development of local sources of supply Participation in critical supplier and contractor negotiation Using the company revenue plan, support monthly purchasing and inventory forecast updates and perform and present variance analysis to executive audience Lead improvement initiatives across the department and business unit, including team and indirect leadership and influencing Analyze data and apply project management methodology to develop recommendations for process improvements Support monthly portfolio review process- articulate inventory management recommendations in terms of Return on Investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis Provide support and analysis to Operations group for project management with the objective of maintaining supply continuity Oversee the purchasing of raw materials and services for factory operations including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations and vendor management Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all supply chain employees.

Education, Experience & Competency Requirements: • • • •

Flexible collaborative style with an enthusiastic and can-do attitude Business University Degree (PMAC/SCM or CPIM accreditation an asset) 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, including team management Working knowledge of Logistics, Inventory Management, Customs and Customer Service
