RANKING

Lowcountry Preparatory School is in compliance with the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy However, we support the belief that class rank is not a true measure of performance and does not meaningfully distinguish students of a small class size in a highly competitive academic environment Our class size is under 20, therefore we respectfully request college admissions to review our stringent curriculum and high rate of AP enrollment as indicative of our deep talent pool

Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculation

Cumulative GPA is computed using the above quality points from a 5.00. Beginning with grade eight, all subjects taken for high school credit, whether passed or failed, are included in the computation. A minimum of 24 credits is required for graduation. Honors are weighted by .5 and AP and Dual Enrollment classes are weighted by 1 quality point. Grades are recorded on the transcript in May.
