Scottish National Texel Sale Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th August 2020 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR VENDORS & BUYERS NO CIRCUMVENTION OF THESE RULES WILL BE TOLERATED EITHER BY THE SOCIETY OR LAWRIE & SYMINGTON This information is correct as of 9:00am on Tuesday 4th August 2020 and is subject to changes in Government Guidelines or Directives regarding the control of the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. In order for Lawrie & Symington to comply with its legal obligations as market operator, it will adhere fully to the SGOV (Scottish Government) rules which have been supplemented by guidance agreed between SGOV and IAAS (Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland) in force at the time of the sale taking place. As Social Distancing guidelines will reduce the number of buyers attending the sale, a number of steps have been agreed to enable as many serious buyers as possible to attend. As a result, the co-operation of Society members is required to facilitate this. GENERAL INFORMATION (applicable to both vendors and buyers) 1. Applicable social distancing guidelines at the time of the sale will apply at all times. 2. Face coverings are mandatory for all persons entering the market. These must be worn without exception while in the market including the sales rings and pens. 3. To facilitate the Test and Trace system in Scotland, all consignors and buyers will be required to sign into the market on both Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th August. This process will include a declaration that they have not been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19, nor are they displaying symptoms personally. 4. This is a sale only, there will be no judging of sheep, either in the show ring, in the pens or in any other way. 5. Strictly no private videoing/broadcasting on Social media, or phones etc. in the pens or ring. 6. Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the market, however, it is strongly recommended that both consignors and buyers have an adequate personal supply and to use it regularly. 7. Everyone is encouraged to register for the online bidding website. This can be used to bid from home, remotely from other areas in the market, or in any of the sales rings. 8.
