LIST OF GRASS PARKS AND ORDER OF LET

on Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 12noon

ArticlesandConditionsofLetofGrassParks2025

First: The last and highest offerer to be preferred to the Park, but if any dispute arises, the Lot so disposed shall be put up again and re-let, the Exposer reserves to himself one bode on each Park.

Second: Entry to the fields and removal of stock as specified at let.

Third: No diseased, dyke breaking, or vicious animal, bulls or horses shall be put into the fields. Drove cattle and sheep are also excluded. If any such are found, they must be removed immediately on notice being given to the Tacksmen who shall be liable for all damages and expenses.

Fourth: The fields will be let for grazing only, unless otherwise stated.

Fifth: The Exposer reserves power to cut thistles, rushes, docks and weeds and to scour and clean ditches and to cart wood and stone in any of the fields without payment of surface or other damages.

Sixth: Tacksmen to sign these articles and if required, to grant Bills with sufficient caution of the Judge of the Roup.

Seventh: Terms of Payment: The rent to be paid to Lawrie & Symington Limited, Auctioneers, Lanark. Half rent due 1st May 2025 and half rent due 1st November 2025 (unless otherwise stated).

Eighth: Any statement of measurement of fields which may be given by the Exposer or Auctioneers is understoodtobe correctonlysofar astheyareawareandTacksmenwillbeheldtohavesatisfied themselves previous to the Roup so that the Exposer does not guarantee any quantity.

Ninth: Tacksmen to supervise their own stock and the Exposer shall in no manner of way be liable for any damages which may result to stock while in the fields.

Tenth: BRIAN R. ROSS is hereby appointed Judge of the Roup with power to adjourn it at any time or from time to time as he may see fit and his decision to be final in all matters connected herewith and the Subscribers bind themselves to abide thereby.

Interest chargeable on all outstanding accounts after 7 days at 7% over base rate
