Stock Rams

59.1

Vendor’s warranty - The vendor warrants that any ram sold as a stock ram for the amount in paragraph (j) of the Appendix or more is capable of and effective at natural service. This warranty is a 10-week warranty. Purchaser’s rights - If the purchaser proves a breach of warranty, then the purchaser may return the ram to the vendor who shall, at the purchaser’s option, either replace the ram with another ram of equal value which is capable of and effective at natural service, or refund the purchase price together with such costs and charges as the purchaser may be entitled to under these Conditions. Notice of a claim must be supported by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate confirming that: the ram’s incapacity or ineffectiveness is not the result of injury, accident or illness happening after the time of the sale: and the purchaser’s breeding stock are not responsible for the ram’s incapacity or ineffectiveness. Female Sheep Proving Barren

55.1

Vendor’s warranty – The vendor warrants that any female sheep sold as being in lamb is in lamb at the time of sale. This warranty is a 21-day warranty. Purchaser’s rights - If the purchaser proves a breach of warranty, he may exercise his rights under Condition 66. Notice of a claim must be supported by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate.

EXPORT NOTICE

As of 1st January 2021, Lawrie & Symington Limited are not able to offer direct export for sheep due to new exporting rules. If you are a buyer from Northern Ireland, Eire, or the European Union then sheep cannot be moved direct from a sale. It is the responsibility of the Vendor and/or Purchaser to make the necessary arrangements. Please consult the vendor to check if they are willing to assist with this and what cost will be involved. CONDITIONS OF SALE 1.

Prospective purchasers should register with Marteye (MartEye | Live Streaming Auctions | Ireland and UK) in advance of sale date. Purchasers must register with FULL Details including Trading Name, Address, Email Address and Contact Number, otherwise application will be rejected.

2.

The Sale will be under the auspices of the Blackface Sheep Breeders’ Association.

3.

All sheep will be sold in Guineas and the guinea will go to the Association.

4.

All sheep must be legibly branded on near horn according to lot numbers in catalogue

5.

In-Lamb Females and Empty Ewe Hoggs are eligible to be offered for sale.

6.

All sheep to be sold guaranteed in lamb, the purchaser has a 21-day warranty, if a breach of warrant is proved it must be accompanied by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate. If the sheep has been flushed this must be declared.

7.

All sheep to be sold are guaranteed correct in the mouth and udder.

8.

This is a NON-EXPORT STATUS SALE from UK.

9.

Any Irish Consignments will be sold via Video. Sheep must be individually tagged in line with the current tagging and movement legislation.

10.

A substitute will be allowed for any sheep that is unable to be sold. These are to be notified to Aileen McFadzean via email: aileen@scottish-blackface.co.uk no later than 12noon, Wednesday 21st February. Vendors will be responsible for the insurance of their stock.

Movement regulations – Purchasers and Vendors must conform to the relevant movement rules at the time of sale.

13.

L&S will process Electronic Sheep Movements as normal

All stock to be paid in full prior to removal and movements taking place.

15.

The auctioneers act in all respects only as agents for the vendor and no condition or warranty is given by the auctioneers of their servants, and none shall be implied, as to title, description or the quality of any lot sold.
