Free Christmas Dinner
We are blessed to once again have use of the Family Life Center for our annual Christmas Dinner. A Merry Christmas Dinner will be held Christmas Day at 12 noon at the Family Life Center, 410 Main Street in Lockwood, Missouri. Everyone is invited to come and join us for a time of food, fun, and fellowship. We are pleased to be serving those who attend a meal of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, dressing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls, dessert and a drink. There is no charge for this dinner. To volunteer, for rides, deliveries, more info or to make a donation, please call Shirley at 816-476-2311. Vedette Holiday Office Hours
The Vedette News Office will close at 12 noon on Thursday, December 24, 2015. We will be closed Friday, December 25 and reopen the office at 8 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015,. The Vedette News Office will also close at 12 noon on Thursday, December 31, 2015. We will be closed Friday, January 1, 2016 and reopen the office at 8 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2016. The staff at The Vedette hopes everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy new year!
HISET Classes To Resume In 2016 On February 4
Classes are offered at the Dade County Health Department lobby just west of the square in Greenfield on Water Street. Classes start at 5:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. If you will call the Dade County Health Department at 417-637-2456 will get you the office during Monday-Friday business hours or you could go by the office and talk with Jill Masterson about enrolling. There is no cost to attend classes, but there is a $95 cost to take the HISET test when you have finished reviewing test materials and practice tests. If attendance is positive and students are in regular attendance, classes will resume Thursday nights in February, March, and April of 2016.

The Everton High School gymnasium was Thursday packed evening, December 10, with family and friends attending the annual Everton R-III Schools Christmas Program. Students from K-12th grades performed several songs, both vocal and instrumental, under the direction of Mrs. Smith. Following the wonderful program, PTSO held their Christmas coronation. This year’s candidates were: Kindergarten: Laura McCray and Mason Hunter; 1st grade: Raegan Brannock and Jansen Adams; 2nd grade: Bonnie Mueting and James Grisham; 3rd
grade: Zayn Powers; 4th grade: Hailey Gilmore and Quinten Douglass; and 5th grade: Gabrielle Powers and Wylie Satterfield.
