NEWS & INFORMATION FROM THE FOUNDATION BOARD Volume 1 P Issue No. 2 P November/December2018
November is the beginning of holidays - Thanksgiving, Advent, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Two months of activities, programs, and festivities designed to give thanks, and bring an end to one year and to usher in a brand new year, 2019. On behalf of the Dr. James W. Washington Jr. &d Mrs. Janie Rogella Washington Foundation, thanks so very much for sharing with us your time, talents, and many contributions this year. Your participation with the Foundation gave us a gift that we could not have given ourselves - depth and dimension - recognition - beautification - smiles - encouragement - new programs, added insight - more hands - support, introduction and outreach to others. The list could go on and on and on, however, the best thing on the list is the encouragement, inspiration, and gentle push to move forward into the New Year with excitement and a continuing desire to keep the life and legacy of James and Janie alive. They would be the most grateful. On their behalf and in accordance with their imperatives for inclusiveness for diversity . . . Thanks so very much . . .
The Washington Foundation is the home of the following: Back Porch Series * Conversations for Women, About Women and by Women; Conversations are on the last Sunday afternoon monthly, 3 to 5 PM.
