Robert Regnier Breaks World Record!

hours straight. That is how long therapist Robert Regnier performed continuous massage as he surpassed the 50 hours listed by the World Record Academy as the previous record. Participants included local media, business and political leaders as well as Massage Envy Spa members and staff. Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola received the final massage. Robert’s goal, in addition to breaking a record, was to raise awareness of the health benefits of massage and healthy lifestyles. The event was hosted at Massage Envy Spa in Little Rock with Robert and Massage Envy donating all proceeds to Our House homeless shelter and sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive.

“People need to be aware how massage benefits the mind and body. I trained my body for this and received so much support it felt great.” said Regnier. While many people have traditionally thought of massage as a ‘treat’ for relaxation, it has been used for thousands of years for its healing power. Studies find it aids specifically with anxiety, headaches, insomnia, soft tissue injuries, arthritis, fibromyalgia and myofacial pain. Improved flexibility, posture, circulation, rehabilitation and immune system are also direct benefits.
