DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

“Your perspective on life comes from the cage you were held captive in.” – Shannon L. Adler. This collection encompasses the idea of relative perspective. It is about having control over perception of reality and becoming unbound from habitual environments. The most enlightening movements come from the opportunity to see actuality in a new light. This collection originates from the idea of having multi functional outfits for a woman on the go. It aims to be fresh and vibrant like the feeling of spring when the seasons change. It is composed by layered pieces, that when peeled back, are perceived in an alternative way and can be worn many different ways. This work is print heavy and colorful with lots of layering. An offbeat combination of soft and hard silhouettes to mirror the contradiction in man-made and natural landscapes.

Along with these textures and geometric shapes, aerial view prints influence the silhouettes and fabric blocking of each piece. The world has many layers, unfold them and see the world through new eyes.
