amillo is a new artist. Should we be excited? YES! He’s going to bring that new latino flavour into the UK charts and we cannot wait.

Where were you born?

I was born in England, London, Paddington.

Being a Latino do you speak any Spanish?

Yes I do, I was taught by my Mum and Dad however I am not very confident.

What is your ultimate direction for you as a singer? Are you seeking fame and fortune?

Well my ultimate direction is to be able to have my music around the top 1 in the charts and to be able to use the fortune which sometimes comes with it to be able to help my family. Well I guess I’ve sort of answered the second question but I pray that I won’t fall into the trap that many new artists get into which is let the fame and fortune get to their head I really hope I don’t turn out like that but you never know.

What has been your biggest challenge? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

Well my biggest challenge for me is well gong in this career on my own.

I don’t have the capability to hide

behind band mates I am literally on my own which something I am trying to come to terms with because I was in small band before I was found so my only experience is with being in a band. However you can only try and improve right? So that is what I’m going to do and I have a great amount of support from my family and friends so they have been a great help with m confidence and with making me be more courageous. In addition this isn’t something that happens to people like me.

Why do you say “this isn’t something that happens to people like me”?

I am just literally an ordinary boy who goes to school and has to do chores and ask for money when I want to go out with friends so for this to happen to me is enormous.

I am extremely grateful and I just hope that this journey will be a long one.

I have right now and in the future when I have some good material out then I would think of working with other artists. I don’t want to go to quickly to soon because I’m not sure how I will cope.

Who has influenced you in your life?

Well that answer is quite easy and it is my family and friends even if it sounds quite cringy it’s true each one of them is so special and has been through something that they have overcome or are overcoming.

Also I am hugely influenced with the connectivity of my family; even in tough situations we stay together and like we inform each other on stuff and make sure we are ok.
