Ihope this message finds you well. Today, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. As the owner of Sweet Tooth, I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication you have shown in making our bakery a sweet success.

Sweet Tooth has always been a place where we strive to offer the most delectable pastries and desserts. From tarts to cakes, brownies to pies, and everything in between, we have delighted our customers with an array of mouthwatering treats. However, it is our specialty in cupcakes that truly sets us apart. Cupcakes have been the heart and soul of Sweet Tooth since our very beginning.

For me, baking cupcakes is not just a business venture; it is a labor of love. From a young age, I developed a passion for all things sweet, and cupcakes held a special place in my heart. I would bake batches of cupcakes for my loved ones, and their smiles of joy and satisfaction fu eled my desire to share this love with a wider audience.

When the time came to create a bakery, I knew that the name had to reflect the essence of what we do. Sweet Tooth was the perfect choice, as it embodies the irresistible craving for sweetness that drives us all. It is this sweet tooth of mine that has not only shaped my journey from a simple hobby to a thriving business but also serves as a constant reminder of the love and care we put into our creations.

But none of this would have been possible without you—the dedicated team that pours their passion into every pastry and ensures that our customers’ experiences are nothing short of delightful. Your commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and unwavering enthusiasm have elevated Sweet Tooth to new heights.

I am honored to have such a talented and dedicated group of individuals by my side, and I want to express my deepest appreciation for all that you do. Your craftsmanship, creativity, and teamwork are what make Sweet Tooth the extraordinary bakery that it is.

In 2023, Sweet Tooth created a Handicap mission with several objectives:

Raising the awareness of teams on the subject allowing the development of a real internal culture.

The hiring of new employees: all our positions are open to people with disabilities.

Support for employees with disabilities. The arrangement of workstations and / or working days.

Maintaining employees with disabilities in employment during their careers. Maison Ladurée regularly participates in recruitment forums throughout the year. We only highlight the skills of the future employee when hiring.

WELL-BEING AT WORK

Sweet Tooth is committed to a process of well-being at work.

Several actions have been carried out since 2022, in particular a week dedicated to well-being at work. Employees had the opportunity to attend conferences on various topics such as:

Osteopathy

First aid

In August 2023, a new Handicap, Health & Well-Being at Work week will be offered to employees. New workshops at Sweet Tooth will be held during the following week:

Training on welcoming disabled customers

Team challenges were offered to employees, in particular a photo competition on the theme of disability & well-being at work. This week was a real moment of exchange and conviviality within Sweet Tooth.

HOW TO MAKE THE YUMMIEST PEACH CAKE

A special recipe that has been passed down for generations.

Flour

Baking powder

Butter Eggs

Sour cream

Peaches

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy. Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Then add the eggs one at a time before beating in the sour cream and vanilla. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture until combined.

Clean and slice or chop the peaches. Fold three-quarters of the peaches into the batter. Spread the batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan. Sprinkle the top with the remaining peaches and additional sugar, if desired. Bake for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.

I highly recommend using a kitchen scale to measure your flour correctly as it’s the most accurate method. If you don’t have a dig ital scale, fluff your flour with a spoon and spoon it into your cups before leveling it off with a knife. This method prevents you from overpacking the measuring cup.

Bring cold ingredients to room temperature before mixing them into the batter. This will make them mix easier and avoid accidentally overmixing the batter. Overmixed batter will lead to a dense cake.
