For quite some time, I've cherished the La Aurora Puro Vintage Limited Edition Salomon as one of my favorite cigars. Obtaining one of these exquisite cigars has often proven to be a challenge due to their limited availability. However, La Aurora has recently unveiled another limited-edition masterpiece that takes their game to a new next level.

he 120th Anniversary Limited Edition pays homage to La Aurora's roots, celebrating their distinctive Dominican tobacco and the enduring legacy of the León family spanning 120 years. This special edition commemorates the inaugural Preferidos cigars of 1903, featuring replicas of the original tubes that encapsulate a meticulously crafted new blend. Together, these elements create a harmonious blend of aroma, flavor, strength, and tradition, accentuating the quality of Dominican tobacco, the expertise of their team, and the rich history of La Aurora. La Aurora 120 Anniversary is a full Dominican puro wrapped in a beautiful Habana 92 seed leaf; the wrapper is selected for its aromatic attributes and consistent burn, and the fillers come from the Cibao Valley. Adopting the Preferidos 1° Double Figurado shape, every aspect adorning the box symbolizes a part of La Aurora's legacy. Of particular significance is the León Family Creed, a guiding principle since 1903, shaping every facet of La Aurora's identity. Understanding the creed is tantamount to comprehending the essence of La Aurora. Limited to 2,500 boxes, this release offers a unique chance to savor 120 years of La Aurora's unparalleled craftsmanship.
TASTING NOTES: Cocoa, Peppery, Cinnamon, Tropical Fruits, Coffee Beans. Crafted by Master Blender Manuel Inoa, this delicacy opens with a cedarwood aroma, a testament to the cigar's aging. These initial notes create a smooth introduction for the smoky flavors of pepper, cinnamon, and anise. The bold start paves the way for sweeter undertones, transitioning into a delightful combination of sweet cocoa and creamy coffee beans, culminating in a velvety vanilla finish that establishes perfect balance. As the burn progresses, expect a flavor profile transformation, with dry fruit and rich tropical notes taking center stage, complemented by subtle hints of wild honey and earth to provide a balanced and memorable conclusion to an exceptional smoking experience.
