M

ishon Mackay New Homes is delighted to announce that Kemp Town Row is ready for viewing, and is selling now. This is an eagerly awaited, small-scale development of just five 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom town houses in an area of Brighton which has been the focus of several new developments in recent years. Convenient for the local hospital, just two blocks from the stylish Kemp Town seafront and just a stroll

to the popular bars, restaurants and eclectic boutiques of Kemp Town village, Kemp Town Row offers a bohemian local ambiance combined with outstanding quality of finish. Located just behind the spectacular and historic Sussex Square and Lewes Crescent, Kemp Town Row is in peaceful Bristol Gardens. Unusually for Brighton, where the majority of properties face east/west, Kemp Town Row has a desirable north/south alignment, Images: Fiona Walker-Arnott

INTO AFRICA

Agents Austin Rees aid a charity mission Austin Rees is delighted to be involved with an exciting trip to Tanzania. Paige, 19, and Georgia, 20, set off for Africa earlier this month. Their journey will take them some 300 miles into the bush of Iringa, where they are volunteering to help in orphanages and schools for children aged between three and twelve years old. These are the children that can’t afford the ‘free’ state schools because of the compulsory contribution added by the government towards the uniform, equipment and food. This fee prevents many of the poorest children attending.

and the outside spaces are southfacing, bringing fantastic sun and sea light into the properties. The ground floor has an open-plan kitchen/living/dining space, with Velfac sliding patio doors leading to the courtyard and patio garden. The kitchen is fully fitted with integrated Smeg appliances. There is a generous cloakroom, with space and plumbing for a washer/drier, making good use of the space. The first floor has two guest rooms, both with built-in wardrobes, plus a fully-tiled family bathroom – with a south-facing window. The second floor is entirely devoted to the master bedroom suite, with well-planned space for wardrobe/dressing area, and a beautifully fitted ensuite wet

room/shower room. This sumptuous retreat has sliding glass doors to a south-facing roof terrace/balcony, with sea views across the rooftops, ideal for morning coffee or a nightcap, watching the lights of Brighton. Flooring is included throughout – wide plank engineered oak for the ground floor, and high quality neutral grey carpet to bedrooms, stairs and landings. Built by a wellregarded local developer, each house comes with a full NHBC warranty, and currently there is no queue in this zone for a residents’ street parking permit. Prices £375,000. Their trip will include working in a school on a Monday to Friday basis where they will assist teachers as well as teaching their own classes. Their spare time will be spent in the orphanages where young children are living with AIDS and HIV. Iringa has one of the highest HIV infection rates in Tanzania. In becoming involved Austin Rees has helped organise the trip and more importantly this has meant that they can provide these children with workbooks, stationary and storybooks.
