In a time when our nation is experiencing division over presidential candidates, it’s a good moment to reflect on the power of coming together. No matter which way the political winds blow, our strength lies in our ability to unite and focus on what we share rather than what divides us.
Amidst this backdrop, there’s exciting news on the horizon for the luxury real estate market in Las Vegas. We’re beginning to see inventory levels increase, providing fresh opportunities for those seeking a slice of the city’s renowned elegance and allure.
As the market evolves, so too does the regulatory landscape. A recent update from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) requires buyers to sign broker agreements before viewing properties. While this may seem like a signifi cant shift, it’s important to note that it aligns with the existing practice of negotiable commissions. This new ruling simply formalizes and clarifi es the
process, promoting greater transparency without fundamentally altering the way we do business.
With these changes in place, Las Vegas remains a shining beacon for out-of-state buyers, particularly those seeking relief from high state income taxes. This infl ux of new buyers is infusing our market with renewed energy, making it an exciting time to explore the city’s luxury o erings.
As we look ahead, the future of Las Vegas luxury real estate gleams with promise. Here’s to embracing the opportunities that lie ahead and celebrating the vibrant spirit of our city.

A taste of the California coast awaits at Gjelina, opening at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas later this year. Known for its produce-forward dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients, Gjelina rose to fame when founder Fran Camaj opened the first outpost in Venice Beach, Calif., in 2008. “The Venetian has offered us an opportunity to expand our footprint and learn from their support and expertise as we actively look to take Gjelina into new markets,” says Shelley Armistead, partner and CEO of Gjelina Group. “As we embark on this growth, we’re eager to bring our relaxed Venice Beach sensibility to the bustling atmosphere of The Venetian Resort.” Expect fresh salads, artful vegetable plates, delectable pizzas and entrees highlighting bounty from the land and sea across lunch and dinner. gjelina.com
Now open at Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino in Henderson, Ortikia is a new Mediterranean concept from chefs Bruce Bromberg and Eric Bromberg, co-founders of Blue Ribbon Restaurants. Salt-baked and grilled seafood, rotisserie-cooked meats, warm vegetables, Greek-inspired appetizers and a crudo bar ensure offerings for every palate. Twinkling lights illuminate the Studio Collective-designed dining room featuring plush banquettes and a handpainted mural by artist Katherine Meredith. “We have always loved the different cuisines and cultures found throughout the Mediterranean,” shares Bruce.
“After spending time immersing ourselves in the culinary scene, we are thrilled to share our love for the region through this new restaurant,” adds Eric. Stop by for dinner daily. ortikiagvr.com
Tucked in The Collective on Paradise Road, Bramàre is a new Italian fine dining destination from Batch Hospitality. Led by industry powerhouses Constantin Alexander and Evan Glusman—of Piero’s Italian Cuisine, Hakkasan Group and Table 34 fame—Bramàre and its executive chef, Joe Valdez III, will transport diners to Italia through swordfish Milanese, braised beef cheek pizza and tagliatelle pasta, among other delights. Alexander and lead mixologist Oscar Takahashi have collaborated on the cocktail menu, brimming with housemade syrups, fresh garnishes and innovative infusions. Don’t miss The Bragato, a nitro-infused affogato served tableside. bramare.com
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas’ $1.5 billion reinvestment project will also help the property welcome COTE Vegas, the Michelinstarred Korean steakhouse by Gracious Hospitality Management. With locations in New York, Miami and Singapore, COTE’s entry into Las Vegas marks its debut on the West Coast. Carnivores will discover a menu that marries Korean barbecue with traditional American steakhouse fare—think A5 wagyu from Kobe, Sendai and Miyazaki
and 45- to 120-day aged steak. Those tastes will be paired with pours from the James Beard-nominated wine program featuring over 1,200 labels and a curated selection of cocktails. “I went to UNLV, and my first formative job in the world of hospitality was in Las Vegas, so opening a COTE in this entertainment epicenter is more than just any traditional opening—it’s a triumphant homecoming,” shares Simon Kim, founder and CEO of Gracious Hospitality Management. “While COTE Korean Steakhouse is a concept I created in NYC, the pulsating energy, music and entertainment of Las Vegas has always been intertwined in our brand’s DNA, and we’re taking that to the next level with this opening.” Doors will open in early 2025. cotekoreansteakhouse.com

An artistic view of the Las Vegas Valley’s terrain translates into a haven of modern, organic homes.
BY ANDREA BENNETT
Master photographer
Peter Lik has captured the world’s most aweinspiring landscapes for decades—sweeping panoramas that have earned him global acclaim, from exhibitions at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., to his starring role in an NBC TV series about his photography. Ten years ago, his “Phantom,” a ghost image in Antelope Canyon, became the most expensive photograph ever sold. His success has made him a household name, and his images can be found in multiple Lik Fine Art galleries in Las Vegas.
What some may not know is that Melbourne, Australia-born Lik has also chosen to make Las Vegas his home for many years, and for the last several has found a new medium to showcase the drama of this area: modern, organic dwellings that fi t into the landscape perfectly just as they reference some of the places he’s traveled.
Jewel Homes (jewelhomes.com), his development now entering its third phase, is a series of three gated neighborhoods. The third phase, on Milos Road, comprises nine homes in a gated cul-de-sac, for which two lots are move-in ready. The homes are selling as to-be-built homes on half-acre lots in models such as the Mediterraneaninspired Milos, with its 4,000 square feet of living space in natural stone, wood and steel that blend together seamlessly, and Kyoto, whose over 5,800 square feet of minimalist Japanese design wrap around balanced Zen gardens. Each of the nine single- and two-story home designs is fully customizable, with listing prices that start at $2.9 million and packages that include choices of furniture and finishings.
In fact, Lik sees designing homes as a natural extension of his artistic vision. “That same creative force I brought to photography, I wanted to channel into something tangible—something that people could live in, touch and feel
every day,” he says. “It’s like capturing the essence of a landscape and infusing it into a home, where the connection to the environment is constant.”
Lik partnered with general contractor Steve Goodwin, and they collaborated with architect Eric Strain, principal and designer at assemblageSTUDIO, with whom Lik had already designed his own residences. The result, he says, are homes that “reflect the simplicity and the beauty of the desert—large windows to let in that gorgeous light, earthy tones to blend with the surroundings and an open flow that brings the outdoors inside. These homes had to feel like an extension of the environment, not something that’s been imposed on it.”
The three private, gated enclaves in the southwest of Las Vegas—close to Town Square—are in a location that’s both convenient to the Strip and protected, says IS Luxury agent Lindsay Presswood, the development’s listing agent. “They’re o the beaten path only in the sense that you can’t get there
accidentally,” she says. Among Jewel’s early converts are several professional athletes, a retired tech entrepreneur and retired neurosurgeon from California, and a casino executive. Most are choosing finishes that put the homes in the $4 million to $5 million range, she says. “We have a robust package of finishings, from which buyers can change or pick for themselves, but most prefer to see the homes the way Peter envisions them.” Presswood’s favorite feature: “Bespoke wooden shutters he designed that are automated and slide on the exterior of the house. When the pocket doors are open, you can close the shutters for shade or privacy. It’s a wow moment.” Another is an ethereal glass hallway in the Azure model that leads to the primary bedroom.
A major selling point, Presswood says, is the size of the lots—around a half-acre each—that give them the space for inner sanctuaries and the room to create a natural fl ow. In the end, Lik says, the homes aren’t just about aesthetics. “They’re about creating a
lifestyle that’s deeply connected to the environment. It’s about living with nature, not just next to it. These homes are a statement of how you can live in harmony with your surroundings, and that’s what I’m most proud of.”

This September, Rizzoli will release a stunning book that is sure to top the tables of the top tastemakers in the interior industry. The Art of Gracie: Handpainted Wallpapers, Timeless Rooms (Rizzoli New York) o ers a 320-page hardcover. It is the first book from Gracie (graciestudio.com), the esteemed design firm known for its luxurious, handpainted wallpapers. With 250
full-color photographs, this volume explores timeless design deeply rooted in history and a distinct sense of place.
Founded by James Gracie in 1898, Gracie specializes in exquisite wallpapers that draw on 300 years of handpainting techniques. Since the 1920s, the firm has imported handpainted wallpapers. Today, these wallpapers are crafted in China, maintaining a partnership with the same studio for over 50 years, ensuring each continued…

piece is a testament to unparalleled craftsmanship and artistic heritage.
The wallpapers, each a panel of art, are celebrated for their intricate designs, which range from vibrant cityscapes and tranquil seascapes to delicate floral patterns. All shimmer with metallic details that bring a modern flair to traditional aesthetics. These designs have graced the homes of top designers and celebrities and have even adorned the walls of the White House, reflecting Gracie’s prestigious reputation.
The Art of Gracie showcases these exquisite designs and delves into the rich history and techniques used—Papier Chinois,

silk, wrinkled rice paper and vintage patina glazes. The book features chapters dedicated to the evolution of these styles, inspired by decorative Japanese folding screens and the enduring influence of traditional paper and painting styles.
Reflections from the current leaders of Gracie—siblings Mike and Jennifer Gracie and their cousin Zach Shea—add a personal touch to the narrative. They share stories of their childhoods spent around the studios and showrooms, their deep connection to the legacy of their ancestors and their commitment to sustaining this
family business. “I would guess that my great-great-grandfather would be astonished and delighted to know that we are carrying on what he started in a little shop in New York City in 1898,” says Jennifer. “I do wish that he and all former Gracie generations could blink themselves here and see what we are up to today, and to turn the pages of this, our first book.”
Beyond its historical and artistic content, the book underscores Gracie’s recent collaborations with luxury brands like AERIN, Estée Lauder and Sarah Flint, highlighting its continued influence and relevance in the design world and beyond.

What inspired you to get involved with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation?
I became involved with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation because of my passion for creating impactful programs and sustainable positive outcomes in our community. The LVMPD Foundation’s mission to build trust between law enforcement and the community while supporting public safety and community engagement initiatives resonated with me deeply. My husband is a former law enforcement officer, and my son is a police officer in Minnesota. So, I have firsthand knowledge of how initiatives like the ones supported by the LVMPD Foundation can positively impact public safety. Joining this organization allowed me to contribute to making a tangible difference in the lives of Las Vegas residents and support our law enforcement heroes.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation’s executive director, Karen Marben, gives us an inside look at upcoming fall events— including the highly anticipated Best of the Badge Gala on Oct. 5.

meet the community-oriented policing teams who are committed to serving our marginalized neighborhoods through impactful crime prevention strategies. Residents can also support our fundraising eff orts by registering their vehicle for our specialty license plate or go online to purchase our new hardcover book, America’s Finest: Policing Las Vegas, which captures riveting photographs depicting the hard work of our heroes. Additionally, we invite residents to volunteer to work beside Foundation staff to create a spirit of cooperation and strengthen our community partnership. And fi nally, there are unique opportunities for corporate partners to donate items for our silent auction and mystery boxes—everything from destination trips and experiences to gift cards to restaurants, shows and resorts. It’s a fantastic way for corporate partners and individuals to show support for our law enforcement teams.
Let’s talk about the Best of the Badge Gala. What can guests expect from the event?
The Sheriff Salutes the Best of the Badge Gala is a premier event on Oct. 5 that celebrates the bravery and dedication of our law enforcement officers. Guests can expect an evening filled with inspiring stories of heroism, awards recognizing outstanding service, and opportunities to connect with community leaders and supporters. The event also features a delicious dinner, compelling visuals and a silent auction, with proceeds supporting the LVMPD Foundation’s various programs and initiatives. It’s a night of celebration, gratitude and community spirit.

What are some ways Las Vegas residents can get involved with the foundation?
Las Vegas residents can participate in our community engagement events, like National Night Out, where Metro invites the community to see the latest crimefi ghting technologies being utilized in the Greater Las Vegas area and
McMahill honors officers and personnel who have shown exceptional courage and compassion in their service. These moments highlight law enforcement’s human side and their positive impact on our community. Additionally, hearing personal stories from officers is always incredibly moving and reinforces the importance of our mission.
Several ticket and sponsorship options are available for the Best of the Badge Gala. Individual tickets allow you to attend the event and support our cause, or you can purchase a seat for an honoree, demonstrating your unwavering support for these exceptional officers.
Sponsorship packages contribute to the recognition these officers deserve and further strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community. Benefits include VIP seating along with executive staff, recognition in event materials and prominent social media exposure.
Our silent auction is open to the public and offers many fantastic deals on experiences and products. All options allow individuals and businesses to contribute to our mission in a meaningful way.
As we move into the fall and holiday season, we have several exciting initiatives planned:
Halloween Events: We support officers’ participation in organized, safe and fun
Halloween activities for children and families in our community. It’s a friendly way for officers to interact with youth, providing a great opportunity for positive interactions between law enforcement and residents.
Contributions to the Foundation fund the opportunity for Metro to provide meals to more than 500 families in need during the Thanksgiving season, ensuring everyone has a warm holiday meal. It’s a wonderful way to show that law enforcement cares about the communities they serve. Additional funding will enable us to secure meals for more low-income families.
With
Cop: These programs are particularly special, as they allow children from underserved neighborhoods to go holiday shopping with police officers. It’s a heartwarming experience that fosters trust and builds lasting relationships between our youth and law enforcement.

A private working ranch in Wyoming lures guests with the promise of adventure and transformation.
by Jennie Nunn
Even though I grew up in a small coastal town 40 minutes from downtown L.A., I’ve always felt suited for ranch life. My mom grew up on a farm raising goats and horses, my dad took us camping, and I rode horses at summer sleepaway camp. All these years later, I think the magnetic pull of the mountains, still air and bright stars is much more than that. Maybe it’s the weight of living in big cities for years, or perhaps it’s the allure of the pure humility and grit of ranch living.
When I got wind of the recently opened Reid Creek Lodge (wagonhound.com), a family-owned working ranch by Wagonhound Land & Livestock Co. that dates back to the 1800s, I jumped at the chance to embrace my country side—cowboy hat, dusty jeans and all.
Tucked in the Laramie Range in the Rocky Mountains, Reid Creek Lodge is roughly an hour’s drive from Casper, Wyo., just south of the teeny town of Douglas. Set on 300,000 acres, the ranch feels like your own private national park. Getting there is as easy as hopping on a direct flight from Denver. After being greeted
at the airport by ranch sta , we make a pit stop to suit up in Western gear at 104-year-old boot purveyor Lou Taubert Ranch Outfi tters. I settle on a pair of cowboy boots with an Aztec-printed wool shaft and pull straps with turquoise leather tassels. I’m really going for it.
Armed with new kicks (which I’ll wear for the next three days straight), I immerse myself in ranch life. The 8,000-square-foot luxe log cabin-like lodge has space for 22 guests with a floor-toceiling stone wood-burning fireplace, a game room with a pool table, and an outdoor porch lined with rocking chairs. Reid Creek’s private chef artfully prepares gourmet breakfasts with homemade rustic rosemary sourdough
bread, pop-up picnic lunches and sit-down dinners like wildcaught salmon. Once settled in, we focus on designing each day based on endless o erings, from archery and hiking to wildlife viewing and fishing. If relaxing by one of the property’s idyllic alpine reservoirs with a picnic blanket and a book is on the docket, that’s completely acceptable too.
I join a trail ride through open plains under painterly skies. I’m on a horse named Hollywood, who falls into a fullblown gallop for much of the ride to keep up with his equine buddies. I feel like I’m flying, and though it’s exhilarating, I’m equally terrified since I haven’t done more than an occasional trot for nearly two decades. The horseback training from my camp days kicks in. Back at the barn, I say goodbye to Hollywood with a sigh of relief—but also with a huge sense of accomplishment. I don’t even mind that my legs, shoulders and back are sore.
Later, we embark on a bumpy ATV tour to a prime hiking spot flanked by massive rock facades and majestic overlooks. We also venture on an e-bike along gravel and dirt
roads to one of the ranch’s many vistas to look for elk, pronghorn and bald eagles. The common thread here is the authenticity of the place and sta (many of them have grown up nearby) and the concept of time marked only by sunrise and sunset. And that’s entirely intentional.
immersing themselves in an authentic American West experience.” The all-inclusive nature of a visit to Reid Creek Lodge means there’s no need to stress about schedules, participation or timing.
Being present, pushing oneself beyond the comfort zone and making connections is what it’s all about. By the end of my three-day stay, I’ve come away with two self-realizations: I will sign up for horseback riding lessons back home, and I will make it a priority to challenge myself with di erent things, even if clouded by the distractions of everyday city life.
“Programs are not designed in an isolated way for entertainment,” says Andrea Nicholas Perdue, CEO of Wagonhound Holdings. “Guests experience a connection to the land that is a reflection of a way of life in the rural Wyoming mountains. Our guests’ energy can be solely focused on each other and the joy of spending their most valuable resource [their time], disconnecting from their everyday lives and
