to our first annual bull sale! We are thrilled for this opportunity to hold our first sale. We thank all past buyers that have made our programs successful.
Last Mountain Livestock is owned and operated by Mark & Glenda Johnson, Garrett & Kelsey Johnson, and Levi & Teanna Johnson. We bought our first Gelbvieh bulls from the Mccoy ranch in 2007 for our commercial herd. We were impressed with the results from these bulls. The calves had great vigour and were up and sucking quicker than our calves in the past. The heifers turned into great females that were moderately sized, had great udders and had impeccable maternal instincts. We then bought 20 gelbvieh heifers from Chad and Carrie. Fast forward to now, our herd consists of 60 purebred gelbviehs, along with 400 commercial cows, and grain land.
Double G Herefords is owned and operated by Garret & Lindsay Hill, and Greg and Brooke Ferguson. Garret has been cattle farming his whole life, and always have had a Hereford background. Double G started in 2020 when we purchased a small group of bred cows from T Bar K Herefords. Greg & Garret wanted to sell seed stock. We have sold private treaty until this year.
