The Irving non-profit supports local families through trauma recovery, therapy, legal resources and their newest initiative, Camp Hope.
CAMP HOPE
Camp Hope is a week-long overnight camp offering support to children who have been exposed to trauma.
TORNADO RECOVERY
The Irving Family Advocacy Center is recovering from an F1 tornado that damaged their building in March 2025. During the repair process, the IFAC operates out of a temporary office while continuing to fundraise and serve the community.

Las Colinas Light Club hit the switch on season three of the canalside event program, closing out an unforgettable spring series hosted monthly from April through June 2025. The waterside music series beckoned attendees to the Mandalay Canal to enjoy live music, custom cocktails from Venetian Terrace, gondola rides from Gondola Adventures and bites from local restaurant partners, including Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and Kleo Restaurant & Pool Garden located in Hotel Indigo Las Colinas.
Off the heels of a successful Light Club series, the Las Colinas Association debuted Las Colinas Lunch Club in spring 2025. Midday Mandalay Canal visitors and LCA members made the most of their lunch break with live music, scenic views and a waterside dining experience from monthly hospitality partners, including Coffee Cove and Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine.

The Carpenter Cup returned to the green on May 22nd for another spirited round of the inter-club golf competition. Named after Las Colinas founder Ben Carpenter, the tournament brings together teams from Hackberry Creek Country Club, Las Colinas Country Club and The Nelson Golf and Sports Club. As a second-time competition host, the Las Colinas Country Club treated players to a BBQ lunch and a post-tournament dinner reception.
The Las Colinas Country Club dominated the day, not only securing the Champion Club title, but its own players walked away as Gross and Net winners of the individual stroke play competition. Each team had 24 players in a three-player format, with the top 20 scores counting toward the final quota.

Jimmy Fallon is teaming up with Irving-Las Colinas-based tortilla chip brand Xochitl as a new investor and brand partner. Known for its authentic flavors and cult following, Xochitl is ready to go national, with Fallon leading the charge. The Emmy award-winner will play a key role in bringing new energy to Xochitl through campaigns, digital storytelling and retail activations.
Four Irving-Las Colinas CEOs are EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 Southwest finalists. Richard J. Hall with US Oral Surgery Management, Sara Shenkan-Rich with Just Right Reader, Inc., Ray Waddell with CEC Facilities Group and Pradeep Govindasamy with QualiZeal Inc. were named finalists among 52 other DFW CEOs.
Irving-Las Colinas-based machinery giant, Caterpillar, has named Joe Creed, a 28-year company veteran, as its new Chief Executive Officer. His predecessor and 45-year company veteran, Jim Umpleby, has transitioned to his new role as Caterpillar’s Executive Chairman of the Board.
From May 5th to 9th the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce hosted the 7th Annual Small Business Blitz. Members of the LCA staff volunteered alongside community leaders and ambassadors to visit small businesses throughout Irving-Las Colinas. Businesses were greeted with gift bags and expressions of gratitude for choosing Irving-Las Colinas as their professional home.
Leave your passport and worries behind at Tiki Social hosted at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel. Tiki Social, a tropically inspired pop-up bar where you can sip on classic Mai Tais and more, is held daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge. Omni partnered with tropical cocktail expert Jeff “Beachbum” Berry on an exclusive cocktail menu designed to transport you to the South Seas.
Las Colinas has welcomed delicious new additions to its dining scene over the past couple of months. Big changes are on the horizon for the Las Colinas Italian staple, Lamberti’s Ristorante and Wine Bar. Later this year, Lamberti’s will relocate from its current location on MacArthur Blvd. to Gables Water Street, where it will find a new home right next door to its sister concept, Monaco.
This past March, Texas Center for Proton Therapy celebrated a significant milestone: 5,000 patients treated. Since opening in 2015, the state-of-the-art, 63,000-square-foot facility has provided advanced proton therapy to patients from around the world. The center held a celebration to commemorate the milestone, including a special moment for their 5,000th patient, Olivia, who was treated for medulloblastoma.
Medical City Las Colinas has earned the Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a global recognition for creating a workplace where nurses feel empowered, supported and valued.

The Mandalay Canal Lights, located at 215 Mandalay Canal, will be shining in festive colors for the upcoming holiday and anniversary dates. The light shows will be displayed every evening from 6-10 p.m. during the dates listed below.
The Irving Family Advocacy Center will host the Let’s Taco-bout IFAC Fundraiser on Saturday, July 12th from 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy tacos, churros and a car wash while supporting IFAC’s trauma programs, therapy services and tornado recovery efforts.
