LARRY SAYS

It’s been a busy few months for myself, Laura and the whole Larry King team. The salons continue to buzz, rocking away every day and producing the most incredible work. I love seeing the good vibes in the salons. In fact, when I think about it, one of my absolute favourite parts of being a hairdresser and salon owner isn’t just the hair transformations I see, but the transformation in people’s mood and confidence.

Having a haircut, colour or blow-dry seems to be the equivalent of a mini holiday, spa weekend - or in some cases an all-round life affirming shake up. What I love to see is some of the busiest people I know booking in that little bit of me time: a pre-organised, pre-determined mission of self-love and self-indulgence. Etching in just a little bit of time for themselves.

It’s this little bit of magic that has inspired the latest hair hero to hit the Larry King Haircare shelves. I’m excited to share with you our newest, and possibly most luxury, indulgent and self-investing product to date: our Spoilt For Choice Hair oil is formulated with a plethora of naturally derived oils including Rosemary oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil and Squalane to help nourish and strengthen the hair as well as help soothe and revitalise the scalp and really importantly, unlike many other oils on the market is formulated without silicones, and it is vegan, free from alcohol, sodium lauryl sulphate, parabens, phthalates and petroleum.

With a drop of hair health in every use, you’ll be truly spoilt for choice amongst the array of benefits this hair hero has to offer and the ways you can use it. Rosemary oil is often hailed as a homeopathic remedy and is said to provide anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties whilst helping to reduce the occurrence of flakes on the scalp and stimulate hair growth. This multi-tasking miracle is a true over achiever and we are so happy to have it in our hair oil.

Aptly named “Spoilt for Choice” by Aniah - our most recently qualified colourist - my lovely wife Laura has worked her design magic on the packaging. As always, our products truly are a collaborative creation from start to finish and we are so excited for you all to try this one.

From a trend perspective, we are all much more interested in maintaining the condition of our hair nowadays. If we think back to the over-processed 80s perms, followed closely by excessive straightening throughout the 90s and early 2000’s, we see the stark difference in attitudes towards hair care between then and now. The 2010’s brought glamour in the form of voluminous, glossy curls and waves - starting the shift towards the modern association with healthy hair as desirable hair. In the present day, hair health is reflected in trends such as the relaxed wave, the popularity of the classic, bouncy blow dry, and the progression of the natural hair movement.

There is loads more incredible content in this issue of The Social Life, including images from our beautiful campaign shoot featuring my incredible friend and client, Victoria. As well as the lovely Gaynor Knightley, who I’m sure you’ll already recognise from our windows in Liberty’s, and gorgeous Juliette Mahieu who has the most incredible head of hair.

I hope by reading this, it gives you a chance to take a bit of time to slow down for a minute and spoil yourself.
