BOITUVA MEDIA LIBRARY

The Boituva Media Library project aims to create a cultural and technological hub, offering the local community a modern space that integrates technology, reading, and educational activities. Located in the city center, the media library will serve as an architectural landmark, featuring a contemporary and sustainable design that incorporates green spaces while optimizing natural light and ventilation.

The five-story structure, with an underground parking area, is characterized by flexible spaces, including study rooms, a library, multimedia areas, and communal spaces. At its core is a central courtyard, fostering social interaction and hosting outdoor events. The project emphasizes digital inclusion, promoting the cultural and educational development of the population, especially students, while strengthening the urban identity of Boituva.

The architectural concept proposes a volumetric design that harmonizes with the urban surroundings, creating a new cultural reference and reinforcing the city’s commitment to socioeconomic growth.

The Contemporary Museum of Sorocaba is an architectural project that combines the preservation of historical heritage with the modernity of contemporary architecture.

Consisting of two distinct buildings, the museum offers an environment conducive to the exchange of knowledge and stimulus to creativity, in addition to providing a wide range of cultural experiences to visitors. The project also considers the preservation of nearby historic buildings, ensuring that the museum contributes to their preservation and highlight, respecting their cultural importance.

Inviting plazas connect the buildings, providing spaces for rest, social interaction and appreciation of the landscape. In short, the Contemporary Museum was designed to become a reference space, harmoniously uniting architecture, education, culture and preservation of historical heritage.

AESTHETIC AND FUNCTIONALITY

The Contemporary Museum of Sorocaba uses hexagonal brazilian cobogós (perfurated panel) with a metal frame and WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) fitting on the main facades. These elements allow the passage of light and ventilation, while adding a modern and sophisticated design to the building. In addition, the museum has ribbed slabs, which are structures reinforced with beams and pillars in the form of ribs, providing greater resistance and allowing for wider free spans, optimizing the internal space and allowing greater flexibility in the layout of the environments.

Located in the city center of Sorocaba, the Multifunctional Building is an architectural project that seeks to meet the demands of contemporary urban life, contributing to the development of the city, implementing more commercial and housing units in a reduced area, foreseeing the future verticalization of the city.

Harmoniously uniting architecture, commercial spaces and housing, the project also values integration with the urban environment and the creation of permeable spaces, contemplating a frontal setback on the facades facing the roads, creating a permeable and pleasant area that integrates with the city.

This architectural solution provides a breath in the middle of a predominantly urbanized region, contributing to increase the permeable area of the region and enhancing its surroundings.

MATERIALS AND COLORS

In the design of the Multifunctional Building, the careful selection of coatings plays a key role in creating an aesthetically pleasing and inviting environment. White colored brick is used as cladding both on the exterior of the building and in some internal areas, giving it a modern and elegant appearance. Its texture and neutral color provide a sense of sophistication and harmony with the surroundings.

In addition to the white color, other wooden elements are incorporated into the design to add warmth and comfort to the spaces. Sunshades, which are architectural elements designed to control the entry of light and ventilation, are built with wood, creating a warm and filtered atmosphere. The wooden floor and ceiling are also used,

bringing a feeling of welcome and naturalness to the environments.

To add a touch of color and personality, the walls of the apartments and the trim on the doors and windows are painted in a moss green tone. This choice of painting contributes to the creation of unique and striking spaces, while providing a connection with nature and a sense of tranquility.

The combination of white brick cladding, sunshades, wooden floors and ceilings, together with moss green paint, results in a balanced and inviting aesthetic. These carefully chosen materials and colors aim to provide a pleasant visual and sensory experience for the building’s occupants, creating a welcoming, integrated and aesthetically appealing environment.
