Planned Giving
Greg Anderson
President of the L’Arche St Louis Board of Directors
In FY24 three families notified us of their intention to include L’Arche St. Louis in their estate plans!
Planned giving or estate giving is easy to arrange and empowers you to leave a larger gift to L’Arche St. Louis than you may have thought possible.
L’Arche St Louis was honored to receive a large unexpected estate gift from longtime friend Joan Rice following her passing in 2022 She spent her life attuned to matters of community equity Her brother says,“Belonging is everyone’s longing; so,when establishing her estate plans,Joan chose to make L’Arche a beneficiary ” We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact of Joan’s gift today and into the future

Everyone Belongs Capital Campaign
In FY24,L’Arche St. Louis applied for a challenge grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation, requesting approximately $450,000 20% of the total cost for two key elements of the Everyone Belongs Capital Campaign: building a fourth home and renovating the Activities Center At the time of our application,we had already raised nearly $1M,exceeding the required 40% fundraising threshold, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community In January 2024 the Mabee Foundation surprised us with an extraordinary $650,000 grant, significantly boosting our campaign To receive these funds we had to raise the remaining project costs within one year Through the generosity of families, friends, vendors, neighbors, and organizations near and far,we met this challenge by November 2024 This remarkable support has accelerated our progress, inspired even more donors to give, and brought us closer to creating a more inclusive future for all
